At , SAIT shared how they’re rethinking apprentice orientation through a centralized, scalable digital experience that delivers consistent information across five schools.

Through thoughtful content design, shared technology and cross-functional collaboration, SAIT is helping save valuable classroom time—while giving apprentices resources they can return to throughout their apprenticeship journey.

What if more young people could see themselves building a career in the skilled trades?

That’s the idea behind That Could Be Me, a brand-new educational video series from Stature Films that introduces Canadian teens to careers in the skilled trades through real stories, real students and real tradespeople.

Each episode takes students inside a Red Seal trade and brings them into the conversation with someone who’s actually doing the work — helping them see what a career in the trades can look like and where it can take them.

We were excited to see the series premiere during our Innovation Spotlights at the National Apprenticeship Conference 2026 in Whistler, bringing the industry together for a first look at this new resource.

Filmed across Canada, That Could Be Me will be available in classrooms this fall.

Today, we honour the First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, families and communities impacted by residential schools, and remember those who never came home.

For CAF-FCA, reconciliation means taking action to strengthen apprenticeship pathways for Indigenous Peoples and support Indigenous apprentices as they build careers in the skilled trades.

This includes listening to and learning from Indigenous Peoples. Some of our recent work includes two reports developed with Project Advisory Committees featuring representatives from Indigenous organizations, with Indigenous Peoples guiding the work every step of the way:
