Ready to take your skiing to the next level?

The Kanata Nordic Racing Team is the perfect place for young athletes to develop their skiing skills, build fitness and confidence, make new friends, and experience the excitement of cross-country ski racing — all in a fun and supportive team environment.

Open to U12 athletes and older who have completed Jackrabbit 3 or 4. Training begins in September!

Summer training is in full swing, and our Kanata Nordic Racing Team athletes have been putting in the work! 💪

From roller skiing and running to strength training and games, it's been an incredible summer of building fitness, skills, and friendships. Our racers have shown fantastic commitment, enthusiasm, and team spirit every step of the way.

A huge thank you to our coaches, volunteers, and families who make it all possible. We can't wait to see this hard work pay off when the snow returns.

If the Olympics made you curious about biathlon, then good news! Our friends at https://www.instagram.com/chelseabiathlon/ are hosting a laser run-biathlon challenge this Saturday, May 30th morning at 10:00.

Open to both kids and adults with 1.5km, 2.5km, 5km categories, the biathlon coaches will explain how to aim and fire the laser rifles before the event (9:30 am).

Looking back at the winter that was*.

The snow came early, weather stayed cold, and the volunteer groomers absolutely crushed it all winter so we could keep skiing even as the snow at the airport melted.

The long-term is worrying though. You can see how early- and late-season skiing is less reliable than it was 30 years ago!

Just a quick reminder to KNSC 2025-26 members to fill out the Year in Review survey that was emailed April 25th (by [email protected]).

We’re planning ahead for next season, and your feedback is incredibly important in helping us improve programs, scheduling, and the overall member experience. We’ve put together a more detailed survey for current members to gather your insights.

The survey takes about 8–10 minutes to complete, and your input will directly inform decisions made by our volunteer Board of Directors.

What a day! Fabulous energetic volunteers, so many skis pampered for their "slumber", and great pizza 😋(Dominos even delivers to the woods!) AND we got it done in time to beat the rain ☔️

Just want to thank all our dedicated members for showing up this past Sunday to clean up the campground trails and facilities, put all our stuff away for the season, storage wax dozens of skis, and celebrate what was a wonderful winter.

Still lots going on this spring - look forward to the member survey, the AGM, summer dryland training, trails prep and planning for next season!
