The Omemee Community Fund would like to thank everyone who came out and supported our Evening of Music and Local Stories with local singer songwriter Matt Kydd.

It was a very successful evening, and together we raised $1,505 for the Omemee Splash Pad Fundraising Campaign.

A big thank you to the Omemee Legion 497 for once again being so easy to work with, so accommodating, and for opening the bar for our supporters this evening.

Another big thank you goes out to the Omemee Swans Club for once again stepping up and providing wonderful food for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets, attended, donated, purchased OCF Merch, volunteered, and helped make this evening such a success.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you very much to Matt Kydd for your generosity and for sharing your incredible talent with us. We truly appreciate it.

🌿 Vital Sign Report and Omemee Community Open House 🌿

The Kawartha Community Foundation invites residents, families, organizations, and community groups to an evening of connection, conversation, and community engagement as we present the new Kawartha Lakes Vital Signs Report.

📍 Scott Young Public School – Omemee
📅 Wednesday, May 27, 2026
🕡 6:30 PM

This FREE community event will explore the most pressing issues impacting wellbeing across Kawartha Lakes while highlighting the incredible organizations, clubs, and volunteers helping strengthen our communities every day.

✨ Community Information Tables
Local organizations, clubs, and service groups will be on site to share programs, resources, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved locally.

💬 Learn About Funding Opportunities
The Kawartha Community Foundation will also have information available about the current Social Sustainability Fund (SSF) intake and answer questions about the grant program.

🎨 Family Friendly Activities
Craft activities will be available in the Scott Young Public School library during the presentation. Volunteers will help supervise children by donation in support of the Scott Young Playground Project — now in its final stretch of fundraising to complete the new playground space for local students.

❤️ Come connect with neighbours, organizations, and community leaders as we work together to build a stronger, healthier future for Omemee and Kawartha Lakes.
