A Big Thank You to Ken and Ann-Marie Svendsen! 🙏💦

The Omemee Community Fund would like to sincerely thank Ken and Ann-Marie Svendsen for their generous donation of $5,000 to the Omemee Splash Pad Fundraising Campaign.

Your support is greatly appreciated and helps move us one step closer to bringing a splash pad to our community for local children to enjoy.

While our fundraising goal of $700,000 is significant, we believe it is achievable. With generous community support and grant opportunities, our goal is attainable and together we can make this project a reality.

📬 There are approximately 2,134 addresses in Omemee (K0L 2W0).

If each address contributed $328, together we would raise enough to fund the splash pad through community support alone. 🙌

Bring your family, friends, and a lawn chair for a community gathering featuring fresh, locally grown corn generously donated by Kennedy Farms - Maple Products and Fresh Produce. Julie Grant wanted what every parent wants: a place where her child could play.

That vision became Jude’s Joy, Selwyn Township’s first barrier-free playground. With accessible surfaces, inclusive equipment and improved access throughout the park, children of all abilities can now play together at Ennismore Waterfront Park.

Julie, Selwyn Township and the Ennismore Optimist Club rallied the community and raised more than $250,000 to make it possible.

The Community Foundation was happy to play a part by providing a grant to Selwyn Township to support the playground’s construction.
