IMPORTANT NOTICE
Park Fees & Recreation Committee Funds
We would like to take a moment to clearly address some confusion regarding park fees and Recreation Committee funds, as these are two completely separate things.
Park fees are paid to the park for your lot and the services and responsibilities associated with your site. Paying your park fees does not mean that you are contributing to or funding Recreation Committee events.
The Recreation Committee operates separately and relies heavily on funds raised through weekly participation in the Bake Sale, along with fundraising activities, donations, and the generous contributions the park provides to support recreation. These funds are what allow us to organize and provide events and activities throughout the season for children, families, and adults.
Without fundraising and participation from our community, many of these events simply would not be possible.
Please Respect Our Volunteers
The Recreation Committee is made up of volunteers who give their time, energy, and personal commitment to organize events, manage funds, purchase supplies, coordinate entertainment, and ensure that there are activities available for everyone to enjoy.
We ask that our volunteers and committee members be treated with the same respect and courtesy that we expect from everyone in our community.
It is important to remember that no one is required to volunteer, but the events and activities that people enjoy throughout the season do not happen without volunteers willing to step up and make them happen.
Respect Those Providing Services
As a final and very important reminder, disrespect toward individuals or businesses who come into our park to provide a service that has been arranged and paid for using Recreation Committee funds will not be tolerated.
These services are brought in for the enjoyment and benefit of our community. Whether you personally enjoy a particular service, activity, entertainment, or event is entirely your choice. However, that does not give anyone the right to disrespect, confront, threaten, or mistreat the people providing it.
Likewise, the Recreation Committee should never be threatened over an event, entertainment choice, or activity.
If you do not agree with or wish to participate in a particular event, you are absolutely free not to attend. What is not acceptable is attempting to prevent others from enjoying an event or creating conflict for the volunteers and service providers who have worked to make it happen.
We encourage everyone to remember that the Recreation Committee exists to bring people together and provide activities for our community. That takes cooperation, participation, volunteers, fundraising, and most importantly, mutual respect.
Thank you to everyone who contributes, volunteers, participates, donates, and supports the Recreation Committee throughout the season. Your efforts are what allow these events to continue.
