Train with psilocybin in Victoria, BC.

TheraPsil's Fundamentals program now includes the option for a supervised, authorized first-person psilocybin experience, in a clinical setting in Victoria, with a licensed medical team.

To our knowledge, the only training program in the world that makes this possible. 12 participants. Open to licensed practitioners across the world.

What can psychedelics teach us about how we die?

Last week in Victoria, Dr. Bill Richards brought six decades of research to Beyond Fear, a community event held at UVic.

Dr. Richards was joined by our founder Bruce Tobin and a panel of leaders in palliative and psychedelic care including Dr. Fraser Black, Jagpaul Kaur Deol and Dr. Valorie Masuda.

Together they explored what these medicines can offer at the end of life: easing fear, restoring meaning, and changing how patients meet death.

It was a rich conversation, and among the many takeaways, one stood out: psychedelics have a place in end-of-life care. More and more people are coming to see it.

We're proud to keep having these conversations.

We’re heading back to Montreal this October for the McGill International Palliative Care Congress 🍁

This clip is from two years ago, our Director of Communications John on the floor talking about TheraPsil’s work and why this conference matters to us.

The conversation around psychedelic-assisted therapy in palliative care has only grown since then, and we can’t wait to be part of it again this year (October 6-9).

If you’re attending, come find us. We’d love to talk.

Thank you to Palliative Care McGill for the original footage 🙏

What a great week in Toronto with MP Corey Tochor. Seeing the packed crowds and engagement made it obvious just how far the conversation surrounding psychedelics has reached.

But the contradiction is clear. While museums host packed exhibits on these substances, patients in need, including those with terminal illnesses, are still denied access.

We need to get the government out of the doctor’s office and put healthcare decisions back between physicians and patients.

What happens when a Member of Parliament and an Orthodox priest sit down to talk psychedelics?

Father Geoffrey Ready, Director of the Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College, joined us and MP Corey Tochor to talk about spiritual support in psilocybin therapy.

Dave Phillips helped build that into our training, and in this clip he explains why it matters to him.

P.S. You may hear some yelling in the background…but not to worry, that's just the breathwork portion of the training in action!

Most psychedelic clinical trials weren't designed with women's biology in mind. That's a problem, and it's time to talk about it.

Join us August 11 as clinical pharmacist and researcher Jagpaul Kaur Deol breaks down what the science says about hormones, psychedelics, and women's health, plus what it means for anyone considering psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Pay what you can. All proceeds support TheraPsil and BC Women's Health Foundation.

In 2023, Janis Hughes traveled to Ottawa during her own cancer treatment to speak to lawmakers about access to psilocybin therapy.

Janis called it medical assistance in living, the chance to find relief and connection.

Her advocacy is part of a movement that’s led to real momentum, including Bill C-286, introduced by MP .tochor to expand legal access to psilocybin therapy.
