CUPE General Members Meeting

Come on out and join the CUPE 139/139-01 General Members meeting where you can stay up to date on all things CUPE
They are always held on the second Wednesday of the month at the REMAX building on McIntyre St at 730 pm

The next few meeting dates are as follows:

Vice President Nominations Now Open

BGIS Local 139-01 is accepting nominations for Vice President, and we’d love to see members consider putting their names forward. If you’re interested in running, or if you know someone who would be a great fit, please join us at the upcoming union meeting on September 9, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at the CUPE office on McIntyre Street, located in the Remax building.

The bargaining committee plays an important role in preparing collective bargaining proposals and helping negotiate our collective agreement. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about the bargaining process, share ideas, or be part of the conversation around the issues that matter to our members, we’d be happy to have you take part.

Are you are looking to utilize your Healthcare Spending Account ? Here’s how!

When you are submitting a claim on the SunLife website and your claim is greater than the plans coverage,
you can request the additional amount be taken from your Healthcare Spending Account (HSC).

For example: Our glasses coverage is $450 every 24 consecutive months.
If your new glasses cost a total of $550.00, you can request the balance be paid from you HSC.
It’s that easy!

DID YOU KNOW?
You can carry over one year of HSC. Giving you a maximum total of $200.00
