Remembering Trudy Lang-Flumerfelt, our Friend and Fellow Rotarian

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and fellow Rotarian, Trudy Lang-Flumerfelt, who passed away yesterday while returning home to Ontario. We are grateful that she was surrounded by love during her final moments.

Many of us have been thinking about Trudy often over these past months as she courageously faced significant health challenges. Even through difficult times, Trudy remained an example of grace, kindness, resilience, and service to others.

Shout out to Kevin Reid for winning this award!

We are grateful for all you and your team do for North Bay and our Northern communities.

Congratulations from everyone in Rotary!đź’™

We are proud to share that the Ontario Northeast region has been recognized with the Murray J. Taylor Award for Community Excellence, a national award honouring IG regions that make a meaningful impact through giving back.
Under the inspiring leadership of Kevin Reid, this recognition reflects a belief shared across our teams — that success goes beyond business results.

“This award is deeply meaningful to our team because it reflects a shared belief that success goes beyond business results,” says Kevin. “To be acknowledged for the sustained commitment to community — not just a single initiative — reinforces that the effort our Advisors and teams put into giving back truly matters and aligns with the values IG Wealth Management stands for.

Over the past five years, our region has:

Donated $2.29 million to local charities
Logged 1,550 volunteer hours

Our impact includes long‑standing support for Chat4Chad, One Kids Place ($875,000 donated over 14 years), and the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, with 100% Advisor participation and $160,870 raised. Team members also give back through leadership and support of the North Bay Symphony Orchestra, Kiwanis Club, and Therapeutic Ride Algoma.
We are grateful for this recognition and proud of the Advisors and teams who continue to strengthen our communities every day.
