The North Bay Police Association extends its deepest condolences to the Brandon Police Service and its members after the off-duty loss of one of their members.

Please keep their family, loved ones and colleagues in your thoughts as they go through this painful loss.

It is with profound sadness that the Brandon Police Service shares the off-duty loss of one of our own.
Out of respect for his family and loved ones, we ask that their privacy be respected during this incredibly difficult time. We thank you for your understanding as those closest to him navigate this tremendous loss. Our hearts are with his family, loved ones, and our brothers and sisters in blue.
In the days ahead, we look forward to coming together to honour his life, reflect on his service, and share a more complete tribute to our amazing friend and colleague that we were so fortunate to know.
For now, we simply want to say he mattered. He was valued, loved, and he will be deeply missed.
Once one of our own, always one of our own.

Members of the North Bay Police Association attended the Canada Beyond The Blue Gala last week in Toronto to celebrate and honour members who have dedicated themselves to assist in mental health in the policing profession. Congratulations to D/Cst Zach Dagg for winning the Agent of Change award. Congratulations Zach, well deserved!!

This morning, members of the North Bay Police Association Executive had the pleasure of attending the Special Olympics Ontario, Winter Games Draft an Athlete launch. In support of the 2027 Provincial Winter Games hosted here in North Bay and these amazing athletes, we presented a cheque to draft an athlete.

The NBPA extends our condolences to the family and friends of Sgt Brett Carleton, the Barrie Police Service and the Barrie Police Association. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of one of our own. The Barrie Police Service is mourning the death of Sgt. Brett Carleton.
Sgt. Carleton was a highly respected police officer whose commitment to his work touched many families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
He will forever be remembered as a valued member of the Service.
We offer his family our support, our love, and our deepest understanding for their need for privacy during this incredibly difficult time.

The North Bay Police Association extends its sincere condolences to the Durham Regional Police Service and the Durham Regional Police Association following the tragic loss of one of their members.

For the second time in two days, the Canadian policing community is mourning an individual who chose a career dedicated to serving and protecting others.

To the family, friends, and our colleagues in Durham, we grieve with you and stand beside you during this incredibly difficult time.

Our hearts are with the Durham Regional Police Association and the Durham Regional Police Service following the tragic loss of one of their members. We extend our deepest condolences to the member’s family, friends, colleagues, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss.

In just two days, we have lost two members of our policing family. During times like these, it is more important than ever that we come together as a policing community and support one another.

Please take a moment to check in on your colleagues, your loved ones, and yourselves. We urge all members to reach out for support if you are struggling. Seeking help is not only welcome, but encouraged.

The North Bay Police Association extends our heartfelt condolences to the member’s family, friends, colleagues, and everyone within the Hamilton Police community who is grieving this loss.

Today we suffered the tragic loss of a member. At times like these, we encourage members to lean on each other. There are supports available for those who need to speak with someone. Board members, member support team and external peer support organizations are available to help us navigate this difficult time 💙

North Bay Police Association is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Durham Regional Police Service Constable in Training Tyrone Magbitang, who died while on his way to begin Basic Constable Training at the Ontario Police College.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tyrone Magbitang's family, friends, and loved ones, as well as to the members of the Durham Regional Police Association and the Durham Regional Police Service. We are also keeping the other Constable in Training that was injured in the same collision in our thoughts and wishing them strength and a full recovery.

The policing community is united in grief as we mourn the loss of a young officer whose commitment to serving others was just beginning. May his memory be honoured, and may those affected find comfort in the support of colleagues and communities across Ontario.

The North Bay Police Association stands in absolute solidarity with the Police Association of Ontario (PAO).

In just 90 days, Canadian policing has faced devastating losses: three officers murdered, two killed, and three seriously injured. Enough is enough.

Protecting our communities is not a talking point—it’s our duty. We join the PAO and Ontario’s Premier in demanding urgent, immediate action from all levels of government. We cannot sit idly by while frontline members are attacked and public safety is threatened.

It is time to protect those who protect us. 💙🖤

Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen a horrifying increase in the number of police officers killed or wounded in the line of duty across Canada.

Today, I wrote to Premier Rob Lantz, Chair of the Council of the Federation, requesting an urgent discussion at the upcoming premiers’ meeting on how we can protect the brave women and men who keep our communities safe.
