🍻Hosted at the in the backyard behind Steel & Oak Brewing Co., this high-energy event brings together fierce drag performers, larger-than-life wrestling personalities, and a crowd ready to cheer, boo, and scream their lungs out.

🤯 Expect jaw-dropping performances, dramatic entrances, campy rivalries, questionable sportsmanship, and enough sequins to blind a referee. Whether you’re a longtime wrestling fan, a drag enthusiast, or just someone who enjoys watching beautiful people threaten each other theatrically, this event is for you.

ON THE ROPES is body slamming its way into Steel & Oak Brewing Co. on Saturday, June 6th for the most over-the-top kickoff to summer. Presented by New West PRIDE and collaboration with Boom Pro-Wrestling.

Hosted by chaos agents ✨ Justin Abit & Scarlette Rose ✨ this high-energy spectacle in the backyard behind Steel & Oak is serving slams, sequins, camp, drama, and enough questionable sportsmanship to make a referee quit on the spot.

Expect jaw-dropping drag performances, dramatic wrestling entrances, fierce rivalries, trash talk, pearl-clutching moments, and beautiful people threatening each other theatrically under the summer sky. Whether you’re here for the queens, the chokeholds, or just to scream at strangers in tiny outfits, we’ve got you covered.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rhonda Larrabee.

Chief Larrabee was a steady and generous presence in our community. A strong ally to the q***r community in New Westminster, she stood with us not just in words, but in action, joining our flag raisings and showing up as an honoured guest at so many of our gatherings.

Her leadership in advancing reconciliation for her people, alongside the moments we were fortunate enough to share in celebration with her, leaves a lasting mark.

Her absence will be felt deeply, not only within our community, but across all of New Westminster.

Rest in power.

houseguest is an all-trans post-emo rock band trying to see hope through a haze of disillusionment, penning q***r anthems that reach for silver linings while embracing the sliver of sadness that runs deeply through it all. through a delay soaked, dual-vocalist, heavy-hitting lens, they attempt to make sense of the existential whiplash of the world and distill it into honest, human, raw stories of joy, despair and disappointment.

Ra holds the room like it owes them something. Her presence is the kind of energy that doesn’t ask for attention, it takes it. Ra is a trans drag performer of Indian heritage bringing South Asian glam, power, and authenticity to the stage. With five years in drag and one year on hormone replacement therapy, Ra has performed and hosted shows across Canada, captivating audiences with fierce energy and cultural storytelling.

This night is about being seen on your own terms.
Messy, loud, joyful, complicated. All of it.
