SPECIAL NOTICE TO MEMBERS
Presentation of the Meritorious Service Medal

Members of Branch 256 are respectfully invited to attend a special presentation during the General Meeting on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

On this occasion, Branch 256 will have the distinct honour of recognizing our Veteran Service Officer, Joann Walton, with the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), one of the highest honours awarded by The Royal Canadian Legion.

The Meritorious Service Medal is bestowed upon members whose dedication, leadership, and service have made an exceptional and lasting contribution to the Legion and to those we serve. Reserved for individuals whose commitment extends well beyond the ordinary expectations of volunteer service, this prestigious award recognizes distinguished service and unwavering devotion to the principles and values of the Legion.

Through her tireless efforts on behalf of veterans, their families, and our community, Joann has exemplified the very best of Legion service. Her compassion, commitment, and leadership have positively impacted countless lives and have strengthened both Branch 256 and the broader Legion family.

This presentation represents a proud and memorable moment in the history of our Branch, and we encourage all members to attend and share in this special occasion.

Please note that several of our regular Wednesday activities will be cancelled on Wednesday, July 1 to allow our volunteers and staff to focus on our Canada Day Celebration.

The following activities will NOT take place on July 1:
