Last Sunday, members of the Kinette Club of Mount Pearl traded in meetings for bowling shoes and enjoyed a fun evening of fellowship at the lanes 🎳

There were plenty of laughs, a little friendly competition, and lots of great moments shared together. It was a perfect way to relax, connect, and strengthen the friendships that make our club so special.

Members of the Kinette Club of Mount Pearl were happy to participate in the first-ever Grandparents Day at Mount Pearl Intermediate last week, along side the Mount Pearl Lion'sClub. The day was full of laughter, bingo, and plenty of delicious treats, bringing together students, grandparents, and community members.

It was a great opportunity to connect, give back, and be part of such a heartwarming event.

Last night we had the honour of celebrating some incredible dedication within our club 💙

Congratulations to Isabelle Fry, Evelyn Butt, Sandra Anstey, and Sheri Philpott on being awarded the Maple Leaf Award of Distinction — the first tier of the Kin Excellence Program 🍁

This award recognizes new members in their first three years who go above and beyond in their Kin journey. It encourages active participation, personal growth, and the development of communication and leadership skills — all while making a meaningful impact in their community.

To earn this award, recipients must complete the majority of mandatory requirements and achieve a high number of points through optional activities, all while maintaining a detailed portfolio of their involvement. It’s no small accomplishment and truly reflects their commitment to service, learning, and growth within Kin.

Each recipient was presented with a certificate, lapel pin, and badge add-on — a well-deserved recognition of their hard work and dedication.

With an amazing 23 years of service, Donna has gone above and beyond in giving her time, energy, and heart to helping others. Her commitment, leadership, and willingness to step up whenever needed have made a lasting impact on our club and the community we serve.

Last night was a special one for our club as we officially welcomed three new members — Wanda Tiller, Ann Crews, and Marie Heath — through their installation ceremony 💙

A Kin Canada new member installation is more than just a formality — it’s a meaningful and memorable experience designed to make new members feel welcomed, valued, and excited to begin their journey. It reflects the spirit of Kin: fellowship, service, and a shared commitment to making a difference in our communities.

During the ceremony, our newest members took part in the President’s Charge — recognizing their commitment to serve their community’s greatest needs while upholding the values of integrity, respect, and inclusiveness.

They were also presented with their pins and welcomed into the Kin family — a moment that marks not just joining a club, but becoming part of a nationwide network dedicated to service and connection.
