⚓️ What an incredible morning aboard HMCS Frédérick Rolette! ⚓️

This morning, several of our cadets had the privilege of touring one of the Royal Canadian Navy’s newest Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels, and what an experience it was! From learning about the ship’s capabilities to seeing life at sea up close, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect classroom training with real-world naval operations.

A sincere thank you to the ship’s company for taking time to host and give an incredible hands-on learning opportunity.

This past Wednesday, December 10, 2025, 284 RCSCC Marconi, alongside our friends at 2562 Queen Elizabeth Army Cadets, proudly hosted our 4th Annual Christmas Mess Dinner 🎄✨

A mess dinner is a long-standing military tradition that our cadets look forward to each year. Events like this provide cadets with the opportunity to practice proper dinner etiquette while fostering a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie across units, especially with our peers in Army Cadet dress.

🎯 A big shout out to 284 RCSCC Marconi’s 🎯 Marksmanship Team that competed in the Zone Marksmanship Competition this Sunday, 16 Nov 25!

A marksmanship team is made up of 5 cadets in the open category, with 2 members aged 15 or younger. These cadets attended try-outs and were selected for their sharp shooting skills and dedication. 👏

This year’s team consisted of:
• CPO2 William Stirling (Cadet Coach)
• PO2 Kamron Hillier
• MC Harley Cheeke
• MC Kate Matthews
• MC Silas Crocker
• AC Charlie Corbett

While waiting for their relay, our cadets kept up the tradition of passing the time with a game of Risk 🎲 — a little competition before the real competition!

Congratulations to our marksmanship team! You all represented 284 Marconi with pride! 🎉🎯

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country with courage, honour, and selflessness.

As cadets, we wear our uniforms with pride, knowing they represent a legacy of service and sacrifice that stretches across generations. Let us take this day to reflect, to be thankful, and to remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today.

This weekend and next, 284 Marconi cadets will be proudly supporting the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign, helping raise awareness and funds in honour of those who have served and continue to serve our country. 🇨🇦

Come visit us at Costco on Danny Drive Nov 2nd and Nov 9th from 12-6pm!

Wearing a poppy is a simple yet powerful way to show our gratitude and remembrance. Lest we forget. ❤️

🎃 What a Spooktacular Night! 👻

This past Monday, 284 RCSCC hosted our annual Halloween Party — and we had a fang-tastic time!

From our Costume Fashion Show featuring some truly creative looks, to our Pumpkin Carving masterpieces, it was a night full of laughs, creativity, and Halloween spirit! 🎃✨ the staff even joined in on the fun! 🤩

A big thank you to everyone who came dressed up, participated, and helped make the evening such a fun event for all. We loved seeing all the energy and imagination our cadets brought to the night! 💀🕷️
