Special delivery! SCNL has received our 2026 National medalist banners, and we spent this afternoon dropping them off. We’re proud to work with these incredible schools, who play such an important role in a competitor’s journey and future. We'd also like to use the final day of YASP 2026 to thank the outstanding group of employers who took on the student apprentices this year. There is great value in a program like this, and having strong and generous employers is a key aspect of helping deliver that value. All of this year's businesses offered fantastic work to the apprentices, giving them opportunities to learn and grow, and lending a big helping hand in kickstarting the skilled journeys of so many young people. We've listed them all here, and want each and every one to know we are so grateful for the support. Thank you so much!

And just like that, we've arrived at the final day of YASP 2026! Today, the student apprentices are finishing up their placements and we could not be prouder of them. They've brought dedication and enthusiasm to the last seven weeks while working alongside a lineup of generous and wonderful employers. Congratulations to all involved in this year's iteration of the Youth Apprenticeship Summer Employment Program. Here is a quick video with some footage of a group of this year's apprentices! The program might be coming to a close, but the content will keep coming!

Another day of YASP apprentice visits! Today we had the pleasure of visiting Carter Clements from H.J. Bartlett Electric (electrical) and Chase Peckham & Emma Barnes from Cactus Ship Repair (welding) on their job sites! YASP 2026 ends tomorrow — more photos to come!
