Beyond the Audiogram: Understanding Auditory Processing Disorder and Auditory Neuropathy

đź—“ Thursday, May 14th
⏰ 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Join us in person or online for this FREE webinar for May Month!

A normal audiogram does not always mean normal auditory function. Many individuals with normal hearing levels struggle to hear in noisy environments. Others hear what is said, but can’t quite make sense of it, or have difficulty interpreting tone, intent, or meaning.

These challenges can significantly impact communication, academic success, job performance, and social connection. This session moves beyond the audiogram to explore Auditory Neuropathy and Auditory Processing Disorder, including how these conditions are diagnosed, the challenges individuals experience, and strategies for support and management.

Going to the FMX World Tour on April 26th at the Mary Browns Centre? 🏍️💥

These events are exciting, but they’re also LOUD! Noise levels can exceed 100 dB, which can impact your hearing in less than a minute.

đź‘‚The good news? Protecting your hearing is simple - you can protect your hearing and your child's hearing at the show by wearing ear plugs or earmuffs to minimize the danger of noise exposure.

Children’s hearing is especially vulnerable to loud noise so it is important to protect their hearing.

Ways you can get ear protection:

Pick up FREE earplugs at our office (Monday to Friday, 9-4:30pm)
Reserve child size earmuffs from our office at no cost – Limited Supply (Monday to Friday, 9-4:30pm)
For $1 coin, get earplugs from the earplug dispenser at the Mary Browns Centre
