... Because sometimes you need to have a little fun with photos.. 😁

Earlier this week we had the pleasure of meeting up with Brittany Weber, of Wightman Communication, to accept their gift of $1000 in sponsorship of our upcoming Gala, A Masquerade Ball. Last year, with the support of our Gala sponsors - like Wightman - we raised more than $175,000 for essential Inpatient Unit Upgrades at Louise Marshall Hospital. This year, we are hoping to build in this success as we raise funds towards the purchase of an Ultrasound Machine for Louise Marshall Hospital.

This week, we were so pleased to meet up with our friend, Laurie Aitken - who also happens to be a member of the Palmerston and District Retired Women Teachers of Ontario - with a delivery of a whole bunch of story books and stuffed animals for some of our littlest patients here at Louise Marshall Hospital. This group regularly supports not just one, but three hospitals with their generosity, and we could not be more grateful for these thoughtful gifts. Thanks so much for your continued support!

As many of you know, the Hometown Hockey Hospital Fundraiser - whereby Young's Home Hardware in Mount Forest donates $50 to the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation for each Mount Forest Patriots - PJHL goal during a season - wrapped up for a 4th season just a few weeks ago.
Well, the Pats closed out their 2025-2026 season with a total of 186 goals for a donation of $9300... and Young's Home Hardware has very generously decided to top up this gift to an incredible $10,000! They've also decided to direct their gift in support of our upcoming Gala's fundraising goal and we could not be more excited! We are so grateful for the continued partnership and support of Marty and Joanne and the team at Young's Home Hardware. We appreciate you! And of course, we appreciate the Pats too, for scoring all those goals. 😁🥅🏒

As the LMH Foundation's 6th Annual Gala: A Masquerade Ball approaches, we wanted to take a moment to thank our early-bird Gala sponsors. Last year, we raised more than $175,000 through this event, to support inpatient unit upgrades at Louise Marshall Hospital. An enormous part of this success is due to the generosity of our event sponsors, and their commitment to supporting our local hospital. For today's feel-good Friday post... a HUGE shout-out to the Mount Forest Lions Club. Yesterday, we attended their "Wing Ding" event, and not only did they serve up a delicious meal, they also provided us with the opportunity to learn more about the Lions Club and some of the organizations and community initiatives they support.

To top it all off, the Lions presented several groups with donations during the evening, including an incredible $10,000 donation made to the LMH Foundation! Over the years, the Lions have provided more than $297,000 in support for Louise Marshall Hospital - an outstanding achievement by an measure. On behalf of all of us at the LMH Foundation, we thank you for your commitment to your community, your unwavering generosity, and continued support of Louise Marshall Hospital!

We were so pleased to stop by the Four Corners Quilter's Guild meeting yesterday to accept their gift of a beautifully stitched quilt, made in the "Cranberry Frost" pattern, which will be included as an item in our upcoming Gala auction. Fun fact - the quilt, which was hand-stitched by friend of the Guild, Ellen Bearinger, used more than 300 yards of thread!

The Guild dedicated this quilt in memory of Virginia Byers, a former Guild member, dedicated community volunteer, and nurse who worked at Louise Marshall Hospital for 36 years. We'd like to extend a very warm thank you to the Guild for their kindness and generosity, and their continued support of Louise Marshall Hospital. Not only do they support the Foundation's fundraising efforts, but they regularly deliver lap quilts to patients at LMH, bringing a little beauty to the halls, and some much-needed comfort when it's needed the most!

The Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation's 6th Annual Gala, A Masquerade Ball, is just 6 short weeks away and we could not be more excited to share the project we will be supporting through this event. This year, all funds raised at the Gala will be directed towards the purchase of a new Ultrasound Machine for the Diagnostic Imaging department at Louise Marshall Hospital! Our current machine (in photo below) is now 11 years old, and is approaching equipment end-of-life.

Louise Marshall Hospital had the very BEST kind of visit over the weekend! The staff in the ER welcomed Roz Campbell with her donation of stuffies, which will top up the toy bin at LMH. Roz continues to donate these adorable stuffed animals to the hospital from the proceeds of her pumpkin sales. THANK YOU Roz! Your gifts will both brighten up the ER, and help our littlest patients feel a little more at home here when they do come for a visit!

Introducing... the upgraded Nurse Call System at Louise Marshall Hospital!

While installation is still underway, we thought we would share a few reasons why we are so excited about this project.

These upgrades bring the older sections of the hospital - which includes the inpatient unit - in line with the more-recently renovated portions of the hospital, allowing for improved communications across the whole facility. The upgraded system also ensures patients can easily communicate with staff when in need, which leads to both timely and efficient care, and also contributes to patient safety.

Shout out to RPN, Taylor Steenbergen, for giving us a demonstration of the new device!

The Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation's 6th Annual Gala is a little over two months away, and we could NOT be more excited! Featuring a gourmet dinner, live entertainment, both live and silent auctions, and SO much more, this fundraiser has become one of the Foundation's signature annual events, with all funds raised being directed in support of essential capital projects and equipment at Louise Marshall Hospital.
