Écologies instables. Entre,organes potentiels et formes de vie latentes réunit les œuvres de Yue Cheng, Jacqueline Beaumont et Alizée Armet autour d’une même question : comment les biotechnologies, les systèmes computationnels et les imaginaires écologiques redéfinissent-ils ce que nous appelons un corps, un organisme ou un environnement ?

À travers des installations mêlant biomatériaux, projection, son et dispositifs immersifs, l’exposition aborde le vivant non comme une donnée fixe, mais comme un processus fragile, relationnel et en constante transformation. Plutôt que de présenter le biologique comme une entité stable ou autonome, l’exposition envisage le vivant comme un milieu partagé, produit par des échanges entre organismes, matières et infrastructures techniques. Sur fond d’héritages industriels et de promesses contemporaines de remédiation technologique, Écologies instables nous invite à repenser la vie comme un champ instable, évolutif et profondément interdépendant.

Unstable Ecologies: Between Potential Organs and Latent Forms of Life is an exhibition bringing together artists Yue Cheng, Jacqueline Beaumont, and Alizée Armet. Through installations that blend biotechnology, computational systems, and immersive environments, the exhibition explores relationships between life sciences, ecology, and contemporary imaginaries. The exhibition examines how the life sciences are transforming our perception of the biological realm no longer as a static entity, but as a constantly evolving relational system.

Drawing on the concept of biomedia, it reveals continuities between organisms, materials, and technical infrastructures. Against a backdrop shaped by industrial legacies and the promise of technological remediation, Unstable Ecologies invites us to rethink the living as a shared, unstable, and evolving environment.

Comment écrire un site web  invite les participant·es à jeter un œil « sous l’interface » afin d’offrir une introduction accessible, ludique et poétique à la création de sites web statiques.

Au cours de plusieurs sessions, les participant·es apprendront la syntaxe HTML et CSS, comment structurer et concevoir des sites web, et comment naviguer entre l’hébergement web et les domaines personnalisés. Les participant·es travailleront sur des projets de sites web personnels, de la conception à la mise en ligne. Chaque session de l’atelier comprendra un cours théorique et des démonstrations pratiques, suivis d’un temps consacré à la création des sites web avec l’aide de l’animateur·ice.

How to Write a Website introduces participants to take a look ‘under the interface’ with a view to offering an approachable, playful, and poetic introduction to static website making.

Across multiple sessions, workshop participants will learn the syntax of HTML and CSS, how to structure and design websites, and how to navigate web hosting and custom domains. Participants will work on personal website projects, from concept, to design, to live url. Each workshop session will involve a lecture with theory and practical demos, followed by time to work on websites with the support of the facilitator.

Dans cet atelier, nous explorerons les possibilités offertes par le cyanotype pour découvrir de nouveaux horizons au sein des archives des participant·es. Toutes et tous sont invités à apporter des objets, des négatifs, des images imprimées sur des supports transparents, des tissus, des textiles et autres effets personnels afin de créer des impressions solaires. En utilisant le soleil pour produire des images et des textes, nous résistons aux structures oppressives sous lesquelles nous travaillons collectivement et explorons de nouvelles possibilités dans le domaine de la recherche et de la création. Nous réciterons et revendiquerons des récits individuels au sein d’histoires collectives de résistance.

In this workshop, we will explore the possibilities of cyanotype to find new futures within participants’ archives. Participants are welcome to bring objects, photo negatives, images printed on transparent mediums, fabrics/textiles, and more from their personal belongings to create prints using the sun. Using the sun to produce images and texts, we resist oppressive structures that we collectively work under and probe for new possibilities within research and creation. We will recite and reclaim individual narratives within collective histories of resistance.

Tensions propose une programmation de vidéos expérimentales articulant diverses perspectives sur l’interaction humaine avec la technologie et les environnements virtuels. Les huit œuvres sélectionnées tracent un parcours allant de l’optimisme techno-utopique de l’après-guerre au désenchantement apocalyptique du techno-junk, explorant les frictions entre surveillance, vulnérabilité, mémoire, corps et simulacre. Ce programme invite à réfléchir sur la manière dont la technologie s’entrelace avec nos besoins, nos valeurs et nos capacités, et à envisager ce que signifie redéfinir l’échelle humaine à l’ère du numérique.

Tensions presents an experimental video program that articulates diverse perspectives on human interaction with technology and virtual environments. The eight selected videos offer a journey from post-war techno-utopian optimism to the apocalyptic disenchantment of techno-junk, exploring tensions between surveillance, vulnerability, memory, body and simulacrum. This programme invites us to reflect on how technology intertwines with our needs, values and capabilities, and to imagine what it means to redefine the “human scale” in the digital age.

Time Travel Has Always Been Possible (« Voyager dans le temps a toujours été possible ») par Ray, invite les visiteur·euses à explorer les archives vivantes d’Ada X à travers le jeu, la mémoire et la spéculation.

Depuis 2008, Ada X développe Matricules : un registre visuel et documentaire de ses activités qui contient aujourd’hui des milliers de fichiers numériques, 30 ans après sa création en 1996. Rejetant la classification GLAM traditionnelle, Matricules reflète une approche DIY à échelle humaine ancrée dans l’expérience vécue, l’intuition et l’attention.

Un poème interactif rendant hommage au temps, à l’héritage et aux cycles du changement, Time Travel envisage la communion avec les esprits de l’art et de la technologie à travers les âges. À une époque marquée par l’obsession technologique et l’anxiété, comment rester critique, non capitaliste et audacieux ? Une solution consiste à invoquer les esprits et à ouvrir des portails à travers des moments de conversation.

Time Travel Has Always Been Possible by Ray invites visitors to explore Ada X’s living archives through play, memory, and speculation.

Since 2008, Ada X has developed Matricules: a visual and documentary record of its activities, now containing thousands of digital files 30 years after its 1996 founding. Rejecting traditional GLAM classification, Matricules reflects a DIY, human-scaled approach rooted in lived experience, intuition, and care.

An interactive poem honoring time, legacy, and cycles of change, Time Travel contemplates communing with art and tech spirits across eras. In an age of technological obsession and anxiety, how do we stay critical, non-capitalist, and audacious? One way is to call in spirits and open portals across moments of conversation.

Sineh-be-Sineh : Réinventer les traditions orales est un atelier pratique bilingue dans lequel Nagmeh Sharifi invite les participant·es à explorer comment la mémoire, le récit oral et le patrimoine culturel peuvent être préservés et réinventés grâce à des outils numériques accessibles. Dans cet atelier, Sharifi guide les participant·es à se souvenir, à rechercher ou à réfléchir à un conte populaire, un mythe ou une histoire familiale oralement transmise, en particulier par les aînés. À l’aide d’Adobe Fresco, une application de dessin numérique, les participant·es illustrent des scènes inspirées de ces récits en travaillant lentement et consciemment afin d’honorer la texture émotionnelle, les lacunes et la fragilité inhérentes à la mémoire. Chaque session de dessin est sauvegardée grâce à la fonction time-lapse de l’application, résultant en de courtes animations qui documentent à la fois le récit et le travail incarné de sa transmission.

Sineh-be-Sineh: Reimagining Oral Traditions is a hands-on, bilingual workshop in which Nagmeh Sharifi invites participants to explore how memory, oral storytelling, and cultural heritage can be preserved and reimagined through accessible digital tools. In this workshop, Sharifi guides participants to recall, research, or reflect on a family folktale, myth, or story passed down through oral tradition—particularly those carried by elders. Using Adobe Fresco, a digital drawing application, participants illustrate scenes inspired by these narratives, working slowly and mindfully to honour the emotional texture, gaps, and fragility inherent in memory. Each drawing session is recorded through the app’s time-lapse feature, resulting in short animated visuals that document both the story itself and the embodied labour of its retelling.

Cette conversation participative invite des artistes, des organisateur·ices communautaires et des technologues à venir partager leurs réflexions sur la manière dont les infrastructures communautaires sont construites et entretenues. Nous dresserons la liste des organisations et des acteur·ices qui ont marqué la scène cyberféministe d’hier et d’aujourd’hui et suivront un bref historique et une mise en contexte de Cyber Love, ainsi que des conseils pratiques qu’iels ont appris depuis leurs premiers mouvements populaires en 2021. Les participant·es seront invité·es à partager leurs propres idées sur le développement communautaire : ce qui a fonctionné et ce qui n’a pas fonctionné, et à souligner les problèmes qu’iels ont vu réapparaître de manière cyclique. Ensemble, nous terminerons en soulignant les pistes à suivre pour une organisation collective future et une solidarité et une collaboration plus fortes. La table ronde sera suivie d’un cocktail de réseautage.

This participatory conversation invites artists, community organizers, and technologists to come share insight on how community infrastructure is built and maintained. In the first part, we will map out what organizations and actors exist in the cyberfeminist scene, past and present. This will be followed by a quick history and context of Cyber Love, and the practical organizing tips they’ve learned since they started grassroots organizing in 2021. Participants will then be invited to share their own community building insights: what has and hasn’t worked for them, and highlight problems they’ve seen re-emerge cyclically. Together, we will wrap up by outlining pathways towards future collective organizing and stronger solidarity and collaboration. The roundtable will be followed by a networking cocktail.

Au gré de nos corps perméables propose une expérimentation relationnelle et performative autour du rituel du thé. La performance prend pour point de départ l’installation d’une grande table autour de laquelle le public est invité à partager un thé et des biscuits. L’artiste initie des conversations portant sur des enjeux contemporains liés à la technologie et au féminisme intersectionnel. Des questions ouvertes posées aux convives visent à créer un espace sûr et sensible, laissant place au ressenti des participant·e·s. En ce sens, l’œuvre vise à apaiser les craintes liées aux technologies tout en affirmant la puissance politique des espaces intimes.

At the whim of our permeable bodies offers a relational and performative experiment around the ritual of tea. The performance begins with the installation of a large table around which the audience is invited to share tea and biscuits. The artist initiates conversations on contemporary issues related to technology and intersectional feminism. Open-ended questions to guests aim to create a safe and sensitive space, leaving room for participants’ feelings. In this sense, the work aims to appease fears related to technology while affirming the political power of intimate spaces.
