FORESTRY UPDATE: Mission Forestry Dept. has posted "No Motorized Vehicles" signage in the fuel treatment areas on Sabo & Campbell in response to their staff witnessing dirt bikes being ridden the forested areas that the FireSmart™ work was just completed in.

Unfortunate damage to Crown Land trees and compaction of soil has occurred as a result. Forestry is asking residents to respect the significant investment made in forest fuel abatement to help keep the Steelhead Community safer in advance of wildfire season, and is reminding everyone that all motorized vehicles are prohibited in fuel treatment areas.

🚫No motorized vehicles are permitted🚫

Please respect the hard work done and adhere to posted signage.

FYI, campfire ban LIFTED effective today!

Effective today, May 13, the fire ban within the City of Mission has been lifted. Residents may now use recreational fire pits, but only when the daily ventilation index is rated “GOOD.”

Before lighting any fire, please check the venting conditions at:
https://dom.burnpermits.com/

A reminder that recreational fire permits allow only clean, dry, untreated firewood to be burned for personal enjoyment or warmth. An adult must be present at all times and only one fire pit is permitted per property.
