Our rescue vessel is a 29ft Top rigid hull inflatable with full search and rescue equipment on board to deal with most emergencies at sea. The total fleet of the Coast Guard Auxiliary comprises of 41 similar vessels all of which are less than 5 years old.

Ready? Aim. Fire!

Had a blast on National Range Day at Cowichan Fish and Game Association.

This absolute bullseye of a day was locked and loaded with rapid fire activities that all went off with a bang. The quick-draw door prizes and high-calibre speeches did not miss the mark.

A big thank to CFAG for inviting us.

Congratulations to Doug Smith the winner of the paddle board prize at Deans Marine Ltd Swap n Shop.

They raised a truly amazing $1,550 and all the proceeds will go to helping Station 34 save lives on the water.

TRAINING UPDATE

Another busy weekend for RCMSAR Station 34. Experienced diver and crew member, Dave, lead an diver emergency rescue session this weekend in partnership with RCMSAR Station 59, Deep Bay.

These skills are essential in keeping our stations ready for every emergency rescue situation and it was great to see stations working together to meet learning objectives.
