Yesterday, we said farewell to Logan, who has been part of the Wye Marsh team for nearly a year.

Fun, creative, endlessly engaging, and always ready to jump in, Logan brought so much energy to the marsh. She helped lead programs, camps and education, and bring Wye Marsh to life on social media!

But long before she was helping tell the Wye Marsh story, she was here as a kid.

We’re pretty lucky to be a place where generations of people come to explore, learn, grow, and make memories.

We’re excited to have Madison Mueller joining us for Music for the Marsh on September 19!

The Evening Edition runs from 7–9 PM, with live music from Madison Mueller, Daniel Humphreys, and B. Knox, surrounded by the beautiful setting of Wye Marsh.

And your evening ticket includes the daytime experience from 11 AM–3 PM too. Come early to explore the marsh, enjoy live performances throughout the property, grab a mocktail, and check out our raffle table.

Take a closer look while walking the trails — you might spot these colourful little fungi growing on fallen logs and branches.

Turkey tail gets its name from its fan-shaped bands that look a lot like a turkey’s tail. Neat, right?

Snapping turtle hatching season is here, and these little guys are tiny when they first emerge. This guy for example, is under 1.5 inches long.

At just a few days old, baby snappers can be surprisingly easy to miss as they make their way from their nests toward the water. This time of year, you may spot them along trails, near roads, or tucked into the grasses around the marsh.

So keep your eyes down and watch where you step. You never know when one of these tiny turtles might be crossing your path.

See a baby snapper? Give it space and let it continue on its way!!
