The Urban Haven Project is a community outreach to families in our greatest need neighborhoods in London with the intent to bring hope and dignity back into their lives by mentoring to take responsibility for their life. Headed by Pastor Dan Morand, who comes with over 20 years of experience working with a variety of people groups from homeless, near homeless, post-incarcerated, addicts to margina
lized folks and those with mental health issues. The key is meeting people where they are at....where they live, with love and respect....to hold people accountable for their own actions replacing the mindset of a handout to a hand up and moving people forward towards a life of dignity and hope. Urban Haven's main goal is to move people forward out of the rut they may find themselves stuck in life. Together with countless volunteers as community partnerships, the goal is to engage people in a personal respectful manner. In God's eyes, we are all equal....there is no hierocracy at Urban Haven as we are all on a journey in life together....we're just at different places on that journey. We serve hundreds of people right where they live every month in London’s greatest needs neighbourhoods, motels and now in selected rural communities! Our partners include, but not limited to the Nursing Program at Fanshawe College and the Law Department at Western, Jeanny’s Angels, Metro on Wellington Rd, Value Village on Oxford (London) and Tecumseh Rd E (Windsor), Harvest Helpers and many other local businesses. Urban Haven is solely supported by donation as a registered charity that uses CanadaHelps.org as a tax deductible donation platform. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/the-urban-haven-project/
