My name is Abigail McTague, I am the Youth Apatisiwin Employment and training coordinator here at the Georgian bay native friendship center located in Midland, Ontario.

My role is to help support youth by gaining employment experience and the necessary skills needed in order to succeed in the Urban environment.

This program is designed to help youth aged 15-25 gain essential employment experience, gain necessary skills, and gain the confidence to successfully become part of the urban environment.

The following are identified areas of support the program will offer:
- Essential life skills
- Employment skills required
- Support in navigating through various services
- Interview skills
- Job searching
- Resume and cover letter building
- Dress for success
Upgrades and certificate opportunities will also be provided:
- WHIMS training
- First Aid/CPR
- Food handlers
- Drivers licensing/ education
