Mackenzie Search & Rescue

Mackenzie Search & Rescue Founded in October 1974 Mackenzie SAR has been providing Search and Rescue Service to Mackenzie. McLeod Lake, Tshey Key, and Kwadacha for over 50 years

Under a Unified or Single Command we perform searches for the RCMP, as well as evidence searchs. We perform rescues for the BCAS. We may also be asked to assist the Fire Department, the Municipality or the Coroners Service. In Mackenzie the majority of incidents are those involving snowmobiling, skiers and backcountry travellers.

Successful task last night, 2 individuals assisted. Kudos to the individuals, as they were prepared to spend the night.
