🌧️ RAIN BARREL UPDATE! 🌧️

If you placed an order back in May, your confirmation email noted an estimated shipping date of May 19.

Unfortunately, we didn’t reach the minimum number of orders needed to fill a shipment truck (150 barrels total), so the company is working to combine our order with other rain barrel sales taking place across Nova Scotia.

The next sale wraps up during the first week of June, so we should see our shipment sent out. We will keep you updated!

Missed out on ordering back in May? There’s still time! You can still purchase a rain barrel and support Brooklyn Recreation at the same time. See the link to our fundraising page in the shared post below.

You’ll find a great selection of rain barrels, composters, and accessories, plus a helpful FAQ section. Even better—free home delivery is available within Brooklyn, Liverpool, and Milton. Our goal is to sell 150 barrels by May 8!

Outside the free delivery area? Reach out to us about arranging pickup from one of our volunteers. No credit card? No problem—contact us and we’ll help you place your order.

The ground work continues at the Hank Snow Playground!

The tires will be MIA for a little but (but will be back!). We’re leveling out the ground, adding fresh gravel, and giving our tires a good pressure wash.

We’ve also brought in a tiny manager to make sure Giffy stays on task 🤪

If you’re stopping by, please be mindful of the work going on while we continue these improvements. The end is in sight!

Our friends Privateer Park Summer Concert Series are hosting their first concert TONIGHT at the Privateer Park in Liverpool.

The show starts at 7PM — head out on this sunny Tuesday and enjoy live music by Bluerocks.

A huge shout out to the volunteers who made this series happen 🙌

Update: Playground equipment has been fixed.

⚠️ BROKEN PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

We are aware of this broken piece on our green slide and will have it removed and fixed ASAP.
