We're stoked to be heading to the The City Of Flin Flon, Creighton, and Denare Beach area again next week for this event. This part of the province, and our region's neighbours in Manitoba, have some of the most amazing scenery, experiences, and opportunities for a summer full of exploration!

We will be working with our friends at Community Futures Greenstone to ensure that entrepreneurs on both sides of the provincial boundary feel well-supported and have the tools they need to succeed this season, and beyond!

If you are looking to start a business, or just want to explore your own backyard this summer, make sure you jot this event down on your calendar!

We are all set up in Creighton at the Trade & Leisure Show this week.

It's a great opportunity to highlight the success of past clients, Overland Resort & Rubi’s Outdoors by giving away a $400 prize pack to one lucky winner!

Our Business Support Officer, Brenden, will be on-hand throughout the show to hear about your business ideas and point you towards relevant services and support from Community Futures Visions North.

If you are a resident of Manitoba, we can also connect you with the team from Community Futures Greenstone in Flin Flon.

🛶 This week marked our first time attending the SK Indigenous Business Gathering. All we can say is, "Wow--we'll be back!" Hosted in Saskatoon, this event brought together students, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and service providers to network and collaborate.

At our booth, we were proud to highlight the success and opportunities found in the Visions North region! We shared wild rice crispy treats and gave away a credit towards a paddling expedition with Churchill River Canoe Outfitters. It was also exciting to see Boreal Heartland and Athabasca Basin Development with booths, and several other attendees from the Visions North region taking in the event.

We forged new relationships with a number of folks and organizations that we hope to work with further to strengthen communities and the economy in our region. And, as a bonus point, we were even able to refer some individuals to other Community Futures Saskatchewan offices!

As always, the work that we do wouldn't be possible without the support of Prairies Economic Development Canada and NACCA. Thank you!

✨ Our tradeshow booth got a glow up, just in time for the Saskatchewan Indigenous Business Gathering 2026 at Prairieland in Saskatoon tomorrow, March 4!

We will be spending the day learning, listening, and networking. If you happen to be one of the 1,100 registrants, please pop by our booth or message us on the event app for a meetup.

We'll be the ones sharing the successes of Northern Saskatchewan entrepreneurs, as well as what makes our corner of the world such a worthwhile and special place to do business!

Speaking of success, we make these efforts to see more entrepreneurs start, grow, and enhance businesses in our Region. We'd love to hear YOUR business ideas and brainstorm how we can help (even if you're not at the event)!!

We are looking forward to representing our region at the Saskatchewan Indigenous Business Gathering on March 4 in Saskatoon.

We'll be sharing the success stories of Northern Saskatchewan entrepreneurs and encouraging others to consider starting or growing a business in one of our beautiful communities.

All while doling out Wild Rice Crispy Squares made-by-hand with local ingredients and love by Chef Jennifer Lessard.

Those in attendance can also enter to win a $300 Credit towards an Expedition or Stay with Churchill River Canoe Outfitters in Missinipe!

🐺 A Husky-size "thank you" to Nancy La Fleur and Senator Myles Venne School for welcoming Brenden so warmly during his visit to speak to the Entrepreneurship Class yesterday.

We chatted about how CFVN can assist students with their business ideas, even if they aren't ready to take the plunge quite yet! We also covered the difference between loans and grants, as well as common sources for each.

Then, we wrapped things up with some sweet treats and a discussion about the importance of choosing a business idea that contributes positively to your community by aligning it with your interests and values.

This type of engagement with youth in our communities means so much to Brenden and our entire team. If you would like to have us speak in your school, please reach out!

Today, we're cheering for the success of the SMVS Huskies and all the entrepreneurs who call Visions North home!
