Today, we are incredibly grateful to observe National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Our Community Futures region is unique because it spans a massive geographic area of northern Saskatchewan. We are fortunate to live, travel, and work alongside entrepreneurs across Treaty Territories 5, 6, 6A, 8, and 10—spaces that are the traditional lands of the Woodland Cree, Denesuline, and Métis peoples.

Every day, we hear ideas from folks who are strengthening their communities through the power of local business. Northern entrepreneurship requires a special kind of resilience, whether navigating immense distances, seasonal roads, or fly-in access.

With a mandate to support all entrepreneurs in our region, we don't take this lightly. Guided by a board of directors that truly reflects the communities we serve, our commitment to the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action #92 is built directly into our structure, and the daily work of our team.

We are honored to play a part in fostering equitable access to business support, funding, and advice across the North.

We're stoked to be heading to the The City Of Flin Flon, Creighton, and Denare Beach area again next week for this event. This part of the province, and our region's neighbours in Manitoba, have some of the most amazing scenery, experiences, and opportunities for a summer full of exploration!

We will be working with our friends at Community Futures Greenstone to ensure that entrepreneurs on both sides of the provincial boundary feel well-supported and have the tools they need to succeed this season, and beyond!

We are all set up in Creighton at the Trade & Leisure Show this week.
