🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a reminder that early detection saves lives.
Here in our community, access to life-saving screening is closer than ever.

In 2021, thanks to the generosity of Agnico Eagle Ontario, Blanche River Health welcomed a state-of-the-art mammography machine, one of only 11 in Northeastern Ontario.

Today, that investment continues to make a difference. Combined with the dedication of our Diagnostic Imaging team, local patients benefit from faster access to screening and some of the lowest wait times in the region.

With breast cancer screening now available to women starting at age 40, having advanced mammography services right here at home means earlier diagnosis, better treatment outcomes, and fewer kilometres travelled.

Every donation helps support the equipment, technology, and patient care our communities rely on.

We are shining a light on Ravin Dela Cruz 👏 for his exceptional care and compassion he provided!

Here is what the donor had to say:
"Dr. Siddiqui and Nurse Raven provided exceptional care to my 9 year old son after an accident with a baseball bat left him needing stitches. Despite the emergency department being quite busy, we received care very quickly and with kindness from Raven. Dr. Siddiqui has a very calming manner and made my son feel comfortable and brave. She continued to tell him how proud she was of him and made an unfortunate experience, quite pleasant. We are very lucky to have both professionals at Blanche River Health! Thank you again!"
