This week, we’re giving a big shoutout to Venvi Barrhaven Manor and Venvi Prince of Wales, especially Amie and Alex!

Thank you for your continued support of our services and programming. Recently, these two - kind, energetic, and caring women hosted a canvas creation day for our clients. 🎨

Our felting class with Catherine of Blue Barn Stitchery brought bees, sunflowers, wool and plenty of creativity together! It’s always great to see something start with a handful of materials and turn into a beautiful piece of art.

There were plenty of smiles, a few spooky surprises, and lots of good company at our Halloween-themed Diners’ Club lunch!

At Seniors’ Community Services, we believe staying connected, sharing a laugh and simply enjoying time together are all part of living well in our community. 💚

What a great afternoon! 🚌🎭 Members of Seniors’ Community Services hopped aboard the bus and headed to the Thousand Islands Playhouse in Gananoque to enjoy Come From Away.

With a full bus and great company, it will be a wonderful afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and connection. We love outings like this that bring people together! 💚

Join us for six weeks of creative exploration, connection, and fun!
Discover the joy of making art in a welcoming and supportive environment. Each week, you’ll be introduced to a new creative activity with plenty of opportunities to choose your own, materials, themes, and creative direction.
Whether you consider yourself artistic or haven't picked up a paintbrush in years, no previous art experience is needed! Come as you are and enjoy the process of creating, connecting, and trying something new.

Each activity is designed to be accessible and adaptable for different interests, abilities, and levels of experience. There is no expectation to create a particular kind of artwork—the focus is on enjoying the process of making art for the therapeutic benefits such as relaxation, stress reduction, fun and connection.

What you can expect:
• A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere
• A new creative experience each week
• A variety of art materials to explore
• Opportunities for conversation and social connection
• Space to work at your own pace
• All materials provided

🗓 When: Mondays at 1:00 PM
November 2 – December 7, 2026
6-week program • 1.5 hours per week
💲 Cost: $100 (No refunds after October 14th)

🚌SCS is planning a trip to the Thousand Islands Playhouse to see the spectacular play Come From Away. If you have not had a chance to see it, don't miss this opportunity!
📅When: Tuesday, October 27, 2026 12:00 (departure) to 4:45 (arrival back to SCS)
⛵️Where: The Thousand Islands Playhouse, Gananoque
🦋Cost: $95 (bus and ticket)
