This past week we hosted our inaugural KVR cycle to with our new fleet of cycles🔥👏🏼🚲

This overnight cycle trip was a community effort and we cannot thank you all enough. YOU made this happen🎉

After the significant theft we experienced in February, we were not sure if we would be able to run our day programs, let alone our Adaptive Wilderness Expedition programs. The community came together, money was raised, and we accomplished more than we thought possible!!

We had an absolute blast on this 72km cycle! Thank you to every participant, volunteer, and community member who helped create amazing memories this past week 👏🏼

A few months ago, we were starting over.
Since then, you've helped us rebuild.

As new adaptive bikes are arriving, our team is training and learning how to use the new equipment and programs are returning. Most importantly, adaptive riders are getting back outside, back onto trails, back into nature, and back to experiencing the freedom of the Okanagan.

This past week, leading up to the arrival of our new Bowhead bikes, we were able to spend an afternoon with Cole, an representative, to learn more about the adaptive bikes, ride them, and adapt for all participants.

Now we're ready for the next milestone.
On June 10–11, we'll be running our inaugural Kettle Valley Railway ride with the new fleet.

This ride represents so much more than new equipment. It represents access, inclusion, independence, and everything our community has helped make possible.
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, encouraged, and stood with us along the way. We can't wait to share this next chapter with you.

Whether you have come out on our day trips, weekly programs, multi day expeditions, or was even once staff or a student that continues to come volunteer your time with us and our amazing participants. Without you, we wouldn’t be us!

Thank you to for your incredible support in helping create and promote accessible outdoor experiences for 16 families at SMA Camp this year. Because of your generosity, we were able to welcome our largest group of volunteers and staff to date, offer three full days of meaningful, inclusive activities, and foster connections that will last a lifetime. Be part of something bigger this spring and summer.
We’re looking for volunteers to support our adaptive outdoor programs, helping create experiences where everyone can get outside, challenge themselves, and feel like they belong.

🛶 Kayaking
🏄 Paddleboarding
🥾 Hiking
🚵‍♂️ Biking

You’ll be working alongside our team to support participants, build connections, and help make each adventure safe, inclusive, and unforgettable.
You don’t need to be an expert, just someone who’s:
• Positive and supportive
• Open to learning
• Passionate about people and the outdoors

This is a chance to give back, gain experience, and be part of an incredible community.
And yes , you’ll spend your days outside in the Okanagan ☀️
