Four years ago, we launched the most ambitious campaign in KGH Foundation history with the goal of raising $40 million to help transform health care across the Southern Interior.

Last week, we announced the close of this campaign with $45,432,601 raised for health care, exceeding the original goal by more than $5 million.

That number is remarkable. It represents thousands of people choosing to believe in what is possible for health care here at home, and choosing to be part of making it happen. Because of our incredible community, patients are already benefiting from advanced diagnostics, robotic-assisted surgery, new community programs, greater access to specialized treatment, and investments in innovation that will shape care for years to come.

To every single donor, partner, clinician, volunteer, and supporter who stood behind this campaign: thank you. Without you, this achievement would not have been possible🤍

Over the weekend we invited guests behind the curtain at our Heart of Gold gala, showcasing the reality of how philanthropy directly impacts the Emergency Department at Kelowna General Hospital, and they responded in a remarkable way!

The evening raised over a million dollars for emergency care and marked the finale of our Closer to Home Than You Think campaign. We could not be more grateful to the incredible community for leading the way and making our $40 million dollar commitment to advancing local health care a reality.

This is an unfortunate reality for many of those recovering from gynecological cancers, which is why pelvic floor physiotherapists, like Corrine Wade, are here to take the recovery journey a step further.
