Hope & District Arts Council is pleased to help host a community art project as part of the Hope Pride Q***r Music & Arts Festival. The 3 panel community painting project is facilitated by artist Natalia Gudumac and is open to everyone wanting to come down and support Hope community pride 🫶 🌈 Project starts in the pergola (357 Fort St) tomorrow (Friday) from 11am to 6pm and then Saturday from 11 to 3pm!! Thank you to everyone who produced mugs, made munchies, helped set up, helped take down, and came out to support our Mugs N’Munchies Art Machine fundraiser!! It was truly amazing and we surpassed our historical fundraising standard! THANK YOU!!

The Art Machine is a truly unique program of the Hope & District Arts Council. The Art Machine looks to introduce, teach, and inspire artists of all ages and mediums to take their work to the next level. In an era of unchecked profiteering we continue to celebrate the community commitment to accessible and affordable cultural programming in Hope and throughout the district. Our continued success is largely based on volunteerism and an idea that everyone, regardless of means, should have access to a creative facility with trained artists helping guide. We are super grateful for everyone’s support across the board!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

You’ve got a few days left to check out Moon Pruvost’s artwork in the Backroom exhibition space at the Hope Arts Gallery (349 Fort St). ‘Journey’ is a wild ride through the imaginative musings of Moon using a wide range of drawing and painting media! If you want to be inspired this is the exhibition for you;) The gallery is open from 11am to 3pm from Wed through Sunday.
