Bingo Thursday!

Another great organization, Hope Care Transit, received $12,000 from The Hope Lions Club to help support the services they provide to our community. From driving clients to medical appointments and life saving treatments, to providing home support to seniors that enable them to live independently in their own homes. Care Transit relies on volunteer support, donations and grant funding to continue providing these essential services. So thank a volunteer!

Every Thursday, Bingo Day, we’re going to try and share a photo of a community organization we have used Bingo funds to help. This Thursday it is Hope Mountain Centre for Outdoor Learning. They received a $6000 donation to help get their trail truck back on the road and to finish cleaning up winter trail damage. Head out to experience these beautiful trails for yourself and thank a volunteer!

Hope Towing and the Hope Lions Club are hosting their annual Santa ride. This year’s ride will be happening on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 7 to 9 PM. Trucks will leave and return riders to Hope Memorial Park. Ride tickets are available in exchange for nonperishable food or monetary donations to Envision’s Full Cupboard in support of the local food bank. Popcorn and hot chocolate will served as well. Come on out for a fun evening!

Tonight Lion Sara Burleigh was presented the highest award that can be given to a member of the Lions Club. The Melvin Jones Award, named after the club founder. Pictured here with Sara Burleigh is our District Governor September Stokes and Club President Frank Wise.

The Easter bunny has been shopping for the Hope Lions Club annual Easter Egg Hunt! 1pm sharp on Sunday April 20 at Silvercreek Elementary school field! For grades 6 and under!

The Lions Club is hosting our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday April 20. Location is at the Silver Creek School and start time is at 1:00 pm sharp. This event is for children in Grade 6 and younger.

At our meeting last night, Lion John Wilson was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. This award is the highest form of recognition by Lions Club International and embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism. Congratulations Lion John!
