What a fabulous spooktacular event we had last night. 🧙‍♀️🎃
The Halloween party fundraiser was a fabulous success. Thank you to all those who attended and all those who supported the event.
So many amazing costumes, lots of dancing, loads of fun and money raised for a great cause.
Thanks to the Hope Golf Course for offering up the space, to Panago Pizza for the delicious pizza and to Tim Hortons for the Timbits. The Hope Lions for the set-up and light snacks at each table and to Hope Computers for help with the advertising and creating the poster. More thanks-you to follow.
Definitely an event to remember. Thank you Hope!

News Update: Date change for the FISH fundraiser to June 25th.

For those who are not aware we have changed the date by one week, due to the possibility of Game 5 of the Stanley Cup playoff being on the the original date of June 18th.

The Silver Chalice was very gracious and did not put any pressure on us to change the date, but we know that the success of our local businesses enables them to support charities such as ourself.

We appreciate their support and we thank those who were able to shift their date to the new date of June 25th. Thank you to all.

The ticket sales have done well, but we do still have a few remaining. If you are interested in attending please get in touch with us. You can message here or contact Tillicum for tickets.

Well this post is a bit overdue, but it is one that comes with a great deal of gratitude and appreciation.

A wonderful lady from our local community, Claudia Cojocar, had decided that she wanted to support our small organization that holds a big vision. F.I.S.H. Is committed to creating and building a permanent home for adults with developmental/ cognitive disabilities. This project is called KWAS House and is named after the benefactor, Olga Kwas, who donated the land.

So in honour of Claudia’s birthday she asked her friends to donate, via Facebook, to FISH rather than sending her a gift. What a kind and thoughtful act.

This simple act of kindness has meant that FISH has received $1,197.38. These funds will be put toward the development of KWAS House.

Thank you Claudia for being an inspiration and a strong supporter of our community vision.

💥Mark your calendars~ June 18th ~ we will be having a fundraiser dinner at the Silver Chalice Pub starting a 5 pm. Tickets are available for $25 and you will get a delicious Fish 🐠& Chips dinner and a beverage.

Join us for a fun night out and help support a great cause. All funds raised will be going toward the creation of KWAS House.

Don’t delay as tickets 🎟️ are expected to sell quickly. You can contact us for tickets through this site. Some of our board members will also have tickets so you can reach out to them if you know them.

Wow! How do we begin to thank The Kingpin Lounge , Pauline Newbigging, the many helpers and the community who has shown up to multiple events and supported the development of KWAS House.

Today we were honoured to receive a total of $4,894.00 which came from:
- Robbie Burns Celebration
- T. V. Draw
- Super Bowl 50/50
- Multiple Meat Draws

Thank you to Pauline and Cal for spearheading so much of this.

Above alll else thank you to the community of Hope for your ongoing support. We truly appreciate it.

A few photos from our last meat draw. Thank you again to the Legion and all those who supported FISH. All proceeds will go toward the development of KWAS house. Funds from Royal Canadian Legion Branch(Hope 228) $1,363.50 and a $500 private donation.
