The Town of High Prairie is excited to be part of this new recreation amenity! Thank you Larkin and all of the volunteers, donors and sponsors who made this possible.
As Larkin said:
The partnership between High Prairie Recreation and E.W. Pratt High School is reaching an exciting milestone, with a new project wrapping up just north of the High Prairie Aquatic Centre. Beach volleyball courts are being built to offer another great recreation option for the community during the summer months. Volleyball nets will be installed in the coming days, and a fence will soon be added to help keep animals out. This project has been made possible thanks to outstanding community support.
A genuine thank‑you goes to Aaron Herben and Excel Energy for donating countless hours and the equipment needed to build the courts. We also appreciate the Reimers Foundation for supplying top‑quality sand that will keep the courts in excellent condition for years to come, and for their generous support of the project. The Buchanan Family Foundation provided incredible backing that helped turn this dream into reality. Cox Contractors supplied essential geotextile cloth, and Triple 6 Line Locating helped keep the project moving safely and efficiently. Thank you to Tolko for donating lumber for the court boundary, and to the High Prairie School Division for providing the fencing. Appreciation also goes to Barry Gray for stepping up to install the fence to keep the courts maintained for years to come. J. Quartly Trucking assisted with moving sand and dirt, and Trevor and CizKids Contracting contributed valuable work behind the scenes.
We also extend our thanks to the following supporters whose donations helped make this project possible:
High Prairie Old Timers
Baytex Energy
Secure
PC Energy
Larner Consulting
Stokes Farms
Enilda Tsshappening
We look forward to seeing volleyball played on the new courts once the nets are up, and to installing a sign that will recognize all our sponsors for years to come.
