David's dedication to our lodge and the residents who call Mackenzie House home never goes unnoticed. Whether it's ensuring everything is in tip-top working order, responding to unexpected issues, or helping keep our home safe and comfortable, David consistently goes above and beyond.

What truly sets David apart is not only his hard work and reliability, but also his genuine care and concern for the well-being of everyone around him. His kindness, positive attitude, and willingness to lend a hand make a difference every single day.

This past Saturday, Mackenzie House welcomed a wonderful new addition to our Main Dining Hall & Bistroβ€”a beautiful piano!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Amanda Morgan from the High Level community for generously gifting this gorgeous piano. We are excited to hear it fill our lodge with the joy and comfort of music for years to come.

A special thank you also goes to Naomi Wiebe and family for volunteering their time and muscle to help move the piano into its new home.

The piano has already brought smiles and excitement to residents, staff, and visitors alike, and we look forward to the many musical moments and memories it will create at Mackenzie House.

"Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours." β€” Elton John 🎡🎹

Last Friday morning Recreation hosted a bannock baking activity with our residents in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Residents gathered in the activity kitchen to mix, shape, and bake bannock.

Everyone enjoyed working together to prepare the bannock and, of course, tasting the finished product.

The event provided a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Indigenous culture, traditions, and community while creating a warm and enjoyable social experience for our residents.

Thank you to our Recreation team for organizing this special activity. 🧑
