Watt Mountain Wanderers Snowmobile Club

We are a local volunteer run snowmobile club which is affiliated with the Alberta Snowmobile Association.

We encourage all level of riders to enjoy the outdoors of over 300 km of trails in and around the community of High Level.

Our signs sure are a lot shorter this year( that one was over 5’ tall before it shrunk)… Easter weekend and we still have a ton of snow out there, trails are in excellent shape for another week or so. A few of us are going to do the watt mountain loop tommorow if anyone wants to get out for a rip.

We did another 12 hour shift on Saturday(thanks Walter), the entire watt mountain trail is now in tip top shape..I bet it’s going to be warmer than -10 up top today… Sun is shining ,blue skies. It’s a good day to go for a ride 😎

We have all the trails in the footner lake area freshly groomed and will be working on the watt mountain loop this weekend.don’t let the cold temps in the morning scare you it warms right up in the afternoon once the sun is shining( be home by midnight though)

Our friends at the La Crete Polar Cats Snowmobile Club are having their annual family day poker rally this Sunday, the High Level to La Crete trail was just groomed a few days ago so its a nice trip if anyone is not sure where to ride this weekend.

Our work is almost done…signage and posters are printed, Walter finished grooming the lacrete trail and we still have a solid 2 months of snowmobiling left🤞

Did you know tomorrow is the Alberta provincial day of snowmobiling? We have the Watt mountain loop manicured to perfection, all of the warm up areas are waiting for visitors… one of those visitors should be you !

Jan 21 trail update.Like most clubs across the province we got hit pretty hard by the recent wind storm and warm weather … we have been out fixing trails for the last week and should have the watt mountain loop back to its former glory this weekend. Trail are open but there are still trees down in certain areas so be prepared to move a tree (or 20).
