This panel at the PNWER Summit was made up of port managers and shippers of commodities.
There were many opportunities they spoke about, but the biggest problem to overcome in Canada is to speed up our permitting approvals and reduce our cost of constructing infrastructure.
The comments were that it takes 4 times as long to permit and 4 times as much to build in Canada.
Capital flows to where returns on capital invested is fast and acceptable.
We need to do better.
