M. Normand Lapointe fait un don de $133,656.60 $ à la Fondation Résidence Prescott-Russell
[Hawkesbury, le 10 novembre 2025] – La Fondation est heureuse d'annoncer un généreux don de $133,656.60 $ à la Fondation de la Résidence Prescott-Russell. Cette contribution souligne notre engagement à soutenir la santé et le bien-être de notre communauté.
« Dans ma jeunesse, je rêvais de faire beaucoup d’argent. Mais arrivé à la cinquantaine, je me suis demandé « à quoi bon, si ce n’est pour redonner », partage M. Lapointe. Issu d’une famille impliquée dans la vie communautaire, sa grand-mère ayant été présidente du cercle des fermières et organisatrice politique, il perpétue cette tradition d’engagement en soutenant des causes qui font une réelle différence.
Hyperactif assumé et citoyen engagé, M. Lapointe a consacré son temps et ses ressources à une vingtaine d’organismes. Pour lui, chaque don est une occasion de bâtir des liens, de mettre ses talents au service des autres et de faire avancer la société.« Je choisis des causes qui ont un impact tangible. En donnant de notre vivant, on peut orienter nos dons et voir les effets concrets de notre générosité. »

La Fondation a pour mandat de contribuer à l'amélioration de la qualité de vie des résidents grâce à des installations adaptées à leurs besoins. Depuis ses débuts en 1906, la Résidence a accueilli des membres de la communauté de Prescott et Russell ayant besoin d'un foyer avec assistance de soins de longue durée. La construction d'un nouvel édifice à la fine pointe de la technologie est en cours pour desservir 224 résidents. Ce bâtiment nous permettra de mieux adapter notre travail aux personnes âgées et aux personnes ayant des besoins particuliers.
Mr Normand Lapointe Donates $133,656.60 to the Prescott-Russell Residence Foundation
[Hawkesbury, November 10, 2025] – The Foundation is pleased to announce a generous donation of $133,656.60 to the Prescott-Russell Residence Foundation. This contribution reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the health and well-being of our community.
“In my youth, I dreamed of making a lot of money. But by the time I reached my fifties, I asked myself: what’s the point, if not to give back?” shares Mr. Lapointe. Coming from a family deeply involved in community life, his grandmother was president of the local women’s circle and a political organizer, he continues this tradition of civic engagement by supporting causes that make a real difference.
A self-proclaimed hyperactive and engaged citizen, Mr. Lapointe has dedicated his time and resources to more than twenty organizations. For him, every donation is an opportunity to build connections, use his talents to help others, and contribute to societal progress. “I choose causes that have a tangible impact. By giving during our lifetime, we can guide our donations and witness the concrete effects of our generosity.”

The Foundation's mandate is to contribute to improving the quality of life of residents through facilities adapted to their needs. Since its beginnings in 1906, the Residence has welcomed members of the Prescott and Russell community in need of a home with long-term care assistance. Construction of a new state-of-the-art building is underway to serve 224 residents. This building will enable us to better adapt our work to seniors and people with special needs.
