HanVoice on the Hill 2.0!! 🤍🤍

Tracy and Isabelle from HanVoice McMaster took on Parliament Hill in Ottawa just last week alongside a team of HanVoice staff and executives (HEC), volunteers, and students! They also had the great opportunity to work with North Korean escapee, Kim Kyu Li. Despite the hardships she has faced, she decided to stand with HanVoice on the front lines to make a radical change!

The team met with Members of Parliament and Senators to ask for support on the extension of HanVoice’s Private Sponsorship Program that is set to expire in 2025. Senator Yonah Martin has been an important supporter of HanVoice from early on and we would like to thank her for all that she does. The team all found tremendous success on the Hill, and HanVoice will continue to establish options for North Korean refugees still searching for a safe permanent home.

Major shoutout to and for the amazing coordination and planning throughout the event, as well as all the executives and team leads for their huge dedication in training and guiding the motivated students! Thank you to all the talented photographers as well for the amazing pictures!! 🙌
