Is it that time already? The final Farmers' Market Box of the season has been delivered, which brings this year's series to a close. Thank you to Erin Farmers Market for providing such a great assortment of local food, and for closing out a great season in such an amazing way!

🌾 Take a rural escape at Crieff Hills Retreat Centre!

During the Fall Rural Romp on September 26, discover 250 acres of beautiful countryside, wander the scenic walking trails, visit the market garden, and meet the farm animals, including sheep, pigs, cows, chickens and turkeys.

Stop by the new farm store to pick up fresh seasonal vegetables, farm-raised meats and preserves made right on the property (a must-taste!). It’s also a chance to learn more about sustainable farming and the work that goes into growing and raising local food.

What is a Food Forest? 🌱 Find out during the Fall Rural Romp at the Food Forest Centre Wellington! This edible garden is open to the public, with produce available to enjoy for free from May through October.

Take a tour and chat with friendly volunteers about the perennial fruits, vegetables and herbs growing throughout the garden, and learn how to use them. Enjoy delicious samples, including the must-try chocolate mint tea. Stick around to press your own apple or pear cider! Some cider will be available to taste or bring your own fruit and clean containers to take some home.
