Deeply Rooted is officially back! After a short hiatus, we are returning for our first screening of 2026 with a shorts program, O Lone Traveller (یا مسافر وحدک)
Named after and inspired by the chapbook by Mélika Hashemi and Shirin Fahimi, this month’s program explores the theme of border-crossing. Through five powerful short films, we sit with the realities of movement, rupture, and the afterlives of displacement, not just as geography, but as something carried in the body, memory, and language.
🗓️ When: Friday, May 15
⏰ Time: Doors at 6:00 PM | Screening at 6:30 PM
📍 Where: Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery
