We had a very successful community workshop in collaboration with the Wellington County Library Hillsburgh Branch this past Friday. The kiddos did an amazing job painting and planting their pop bottle containers.

We’re harvesting tomatoes grown from seedling plants that were purchased at the HGC Plant Sale. Stephanie’s tomato plant selection is always the best. Did you buy tomatoes at the HGC Plant Sale? Share a pic of how they look.

Looking for a quiet spot in Hillsburgh to sit for a spell? The Hillsburgh Parkette, just north of the Hillsburgh RBC, might be it. With 2 dead trees recently removed near the entrance to the Parkette, there are now both sunny and shaded areas to sit and unwind. What a difference a year makes. Since last July, the Parkette garden beds have been cleaned up, overgrown shrubs pruned, invasive plants removed, new perennials and planters added, and fences and lattice fixed, through the cooperation of the Town of Erin and Hillsburgh Garden Club. There’s still more to do. But it’s a good time to discover this hidden gem, if you haven’t already.
