Another fantastic day here at Swim Alberta Summer Festivals.

Our swimmers swam hard with these 4 qualifying for finals!! And it seemed like we kept coming up with lucky number seven with most of our swimmers placing seventh in their heats!

Overall Final Results included:

Erin placed 7th overall in her 50 Breast and 100 back, and 10th overall in her 100 IM.

Connor placed 17 overall in his 50 Free

Abbi placed 17 overall in her 50 free and 50 breast.

Way to go Orcas!!!!

Day One of Festivals was a strong showing from our Orcas:

Today we had five of our six swimmers compete and all improved their times. Some highlights shared by coaches include:

Connor took off 30 seconds in his 400 Free placing 17th
Abbigail took off 9 seconds in her 200 breast race placing 15th
Sam also took 9 seconds off his 200m breast and qualified for provincial trials.

We are thrilled to celebrate our incredible swimmers who have qualified for Swim Alberta Summer Festivals. This provincial level meet for swimmers 12 and under starts this Friday June 12, 2026 in Grande Prairie.

As you head into the meet, know that our entire swim team is cheering you on! Your dedication, early mornings, tough practices, and unwavering commitment has been inspiring.

No matter the outcome, you’ve already made us proud by getting there. Swim strong, support each other, and enjoy every moment of this amazing experience!

The Edson Orcas were honored to be invited to participate in such a wonderful community event! Our athletes and families represented the Orcas with enthusiasm, positivity, and plenty of smiles.

💦Our Orcas made quite the splash at the OSC 12&under swim meet in Edmonton on May 24!💦

Cohen took off time in all of his races, crushing his 50 breaststroke time by 16 seconds!
Priya took off over 5 seconds in her 100 free and raced right to the finish.
Abbigail had everyone on their toes during the 50 breaststroke , winning her heat and earning another festival time.
Josh swam hard and qualified for festivals in his 100 fly.
Emma took off over 30 seconds in her 50 back.
Shea push hard and improved her times, swimming an amazing 50 back.
Alizabeth took of 2 seconds in her 50 back.
Elijah took off time in two of his three races. And placed 3rd in his 25 fly.
Sam pushed hard and took off 3 seconds in his 100 breast.
Abbigail also got another festival time in her 100 breast.
