We recognize that our members represent a wide cross section of urban Indigenous peoples in Alberta. With a total of 136,585 First Nations people, 114,375 Metis and 2500 Inuit these experiences are diverse and their contributions to our communities are strong drivers of community change, yet they have little political representation at any level of government. In order to change that, the board must plan strategically to identify and create actionable goals which reflect the needs of our members and to their aspirations. Creating a space for members to contribute ideas and to gather, engage and dialog must be our first priority.

The ACAA vision is working to improve the quality of life for all Indigenous people in the province of Alberta. Our page has been created for our members and guests’ users to be able to connect with the community by collaborating, and networking by sharing news, events, programs or community links that are of benefit to the urban Indigenous peoples living throughout Alberta.

Our goal is to work together and to be mindful of each other’s personal opinions and/or comments along with any information shared on the ACAA page. In order to maintain a positive experience for all we have established some rules for all users:
