Everyone deserves a safe place to recover & someone who takes the time to listen.

At JPWC, our transitional housing programs support people leaving the hospital or detox who have no safe place to go.

We provide a place to rest, help coordinate health care, and work alongside each person to plan their next steps toward housing, recovery and stability.

Care means learning someone’s story, understanding what matters to them, and showing up through the difficult days.

Our Community Health Centre staff’s Halloween door decorating contest needs a judge. That’s you!

There are no prizes, just bragging rights and a few egos on the line. From spooky to silly, our team has brought their own interpretation of Halloween to the office.

Groceries, diapers, and a little more breathing room.

HUGE THANK YOU to the Police Foundation for this generous donation supporting our Family Group and the wider community accessing resources at JPWC.

Poverty touches people from all walks of life: parents stretching a paycheque, seniors living on fixed incomes, people navigating illness or job loss, and neighbours without a place to call home.

Our Resource Centre is a place to find practical support and connection. Donations like these help us put everyday essentials into the hands of people who need them.

West Edmonton dads: Are you the main caregiver for your kids?

Our Community Family Program is a place to find resources, connect with other families, and enjoy some adult conversation while spending time with your kids.

The next Family Group is Thursday, October 29th, from 12:30 - 3:00 PM

Why Thursday afternoons? Our neighbourhood elementary school has early dismissal that day, so it’s a chance to join us after school!

Share this with a dad who could use the connection.

We urgently need winter gear for adults and kids alike!

Our Community Health Centre serves neighbours of all ages and circumstances: families in our weekly Family Group, people living on their own, and people without a place to call home.

Winter clothing and personal hygiene supplies are running very low, and we’re already seeing frostbite. Please help us restock so we have what people need when they come through our doors.

We urgently need winter coats for adults and kids, long underwear, toques, gloves and mitts, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, mini hand sanitizers, hand warmers, and bike locks!

Donate these items, organize a collection at work, or give at www.jpwc.ca.

When you visit our Wound Care Walk-In, a JPWC clinic nurse checks your wound and makes a care plan with you.

We use TeleVu, a video imaging tool, to consult with an Occupational Therapist and other clinicians, so you get expert advice right here at JPWC.

Before you go, we send you home with the supplies you need to keep it clean and covered, like dressings, bandages, gauze, and tape. We also walk you through how to care for it, so you feel confident doing it on your own.

If you need more supplies or want us to take another look, just come back the next Wednesday.

Wednesdays, 9 am to 3 pm. No appointment needed.

A little fall cleanup at our program-based housing sites!

Creating safe, welcoming spaces goes beyond the walls of our buildings. It takes ongoing care, maintenance, and a team willing to roll up their sleeves.

Today we fired up the BBQ at Matty’s Place to celebrate the end of summer with our Recovery in Transition guests!

When someone leaves detox, a treatment space isn’t always available right away. That wait can be hard, especially without a sober place to stay or people to support you.

Our program gives people a place to stay during that gap, with daily support to help prevent a return to substance use, build skills, and keep moving toward treatment. Sharing a meal and enjoying time together is part of that support, too.

Our guests had a great time today.
