The League of Ukrainian Canadian Women (LUCW) Edmonton is proud to share that one of the major projects we supported as donors has been successfully completed. Thanks to the LUCW National Leadership and cooperation with MOVE Ukraine, $50,000 USD was collected and transferred for the purchase of the equipment to the Verkhovyna, Ukraine, to establish a rehabilitation center for Ukrainian soldiers.
At our Edmonton events, we always raise funds for Guardian Angels Fund, a Canadian non-profit created by LUCW in 2014 to support veterans, soldiers, and civilians injured due to Russia’s war against Ukraine. Thank you all for your support, and for your financial contributions, together we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of Ukrainian heroes as they recover and rebuild. Ukraine Athletic Sports Club is excited to announce our upcoming golf tournament on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at the Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf Club. The event will feature a 9am shotgun start (Texas scramble format), 18 holes with cart, and steak lunch provided after the round.

This tournament is a fundraiser to support the Ukraine Athletic Sports Club and help us continue hosting sports events in Edmonton—such as Ukrainian boxing, soccer match viewings, ball hockey tournaments, badminton events, and more.

You’ll find the event poster attached, and registration can be completed using the link below. Please note that we are currently accepting foursomes only, and the team captain must submit payment for all four players for the registration to be considered complete.

The League of Ukrainian Canadian Women Edmonton was represented at the Annual General Meeting of UCC Edmonton on April 19, 2026, by two of our members, Vira and Nadiia.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the newly elected Board of Directors and Audit Committee and wish them success during the 2026–2028 term. We also express our appreciation to the outgoing Board for its dedication, leadership, and service.

The League of Ukrainian Canadian Women Edmonton remains committed to collaborating with fellow member organizations in support of a strong and united Ukrainian community.
