Providence Farm's Free Clothing Store, Community Outreach: Farm Fashions is OPEN Wednesday through Friday from 9:30am - 12:30pm. Peruse our clothing racks for a new-to-you treasure. We accept laundered & gently used clothes during our store hours if you would like to donate. Right now spring and summer clothes are on our wish list. At Providence Farm we gather together twice daily to enjoy a snack or lunch break. Each time we eat together we are aware of the efforts each participant & staff member has made in our carefully connected nature-based therapeutic programs to bring fresh, delicious food to our shared table. We plant & tend food in our Greenhouse & Kitchen Garden, band together to deliver our harvests to the kitchen where participants, with the support, guidance & planning of Chef Charlotte prepare nutritious meals for everyone. We delight in discovering how & what each person chose to contribute to our plates. It's a great conversation

Dining together supports improved mental health, nutrition & emotional resiliance. Our predictable dining gathering time & environment provides reliable and safe oportunities to socialise, decompress and share our daily experiences.

All this from a little coffee break & lunch break! Yes, please! 😋🧡

Farm Fashions Free Store Community Outreach is open from Wednesday - Friday, 9:30am - 12:30pm every week. Give a warm welcome our new Farm Fashions Coordinator, Tasha! She is thrilled to be working alongside our fabulous volunteers to serve our growing community. Stop by to find some basics, fill some gaps in your wardrobe and discover a new-to-you treasure.

We believe that clothing is not just a necessity, but a means of empowerment, dignity and expression.

In the heart of the kitchen, where laughter is bright,
Chef Charlotte was crowned our Spaghetti Knight 🍝✨
With a spoon held high instead of a sword,
She stirred up joy that we all could afford.
A pot full of pasta, a sauce rich and warm,
Gathered our Farmily, in it's usual good form.
Plates passed around, smiles shining wide—
With every bite, there was joy, there was pride.
All hail the Knight of noodles so fine,
Serving up love, one plate at a time 💛👑🫅🥘

As harvest season ramps up in the Greenhouse and Kitchen Garden, we have more volunteer opportunities available in the kitchen. Tasks include washing, chopping and packaging freshly harvested produce/ We might even have a few canning projects. You'll meet a friendly & welcoming community of volunteers, participants and staff who would love to get to know you better as we work together and while we enjoy a delicious lunch on your volunteer day.

Woop! Woop! Our wonderful kitchen volunteers have a 30 second dance party to celebrate a job well done. Colourful chopped produce is prepped and ready for lunch and the walk-in is stocked & organised. 🙌👍🫛🍠🧅🍅🫐🧡😃

The forest at Providence Farm is a highly valued resource and inspiration for many of our Nature Based Therapeutic Programs. Our Wednesday Farm Fit Participants look forward to their weekly hike in the forest. Therapeutic practitioners create routes of varying ease or difficulty so participants of almost all abilities can choose their path. After a brisk or calm hike through the woods, we all gather to regroup, stretch, refresh and check-in before we head to the "Big House" to enjoy our delicious lunch together.

Walking is good for talking and stretching and breathing and stopping and noticing the little things and comaraderie and accomplishing and relaxing and enjoying the company of your friends and shedding our stressors and feeling good and helping our buddies and so much more!

Participants and staff are grateful to our site crew and fabulous volunteers who maintain and keep our trails safe. 👍🌞🥾🧡🌲🌳🍀🌾🌎
