☀️ Laundry Day Fun! ☀️🧺

Today, the children enjoyed washing and hanging laundry outside. This simple activity helped build hand strength, coordination, problem-solving skills, and independence.

Real-life experiences like laundry help children learn important life skills while having fun through play!

We came together this week to celebrate National Accessibility Week, and from the very beginning, our speakers set the tone for what the day would become.

Through their words, they reminded us that accessibility is about more than removing barriers; it’s about creating spaces where people feel they belong.

From there, the day unfolded naturally with conversations over BBQ, great music, laughter, and meaningful connections that brought our community together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a great day. 💙

More highlights from the day to come.

Building Connections in the Early Years Community 🌱

Meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and collaborative learning were at the heart of the EarlyON Spring Community of Practice Day at Collingwood EarlyON on May 22nd.

Opportunities to connect with Early Years professionals, exchange ideas, share resources, and reflect on best practices help strengthen the supports available to children and families across our communities. 💙

🍋 Learning Through Lemonade! 🍋

Today, during Outdoor Stay Play and Learn, our learning sparked wonderful conversations about healthy drinks and creativity! As children explored making lemonade, they shared ideas about what else we could add to water to make it tasty and refreshing.

Together, we talked about adding:
🍓 Strawberries
🍊 Oranges
🥒 Cucumbers
🫐 Blueberries
🌿 Mint
🍋 Lemons and limes

These simple conversations support early learning by encouraging children to:
✨ Share ideas and opinions
✨ Explore healthy food choices
✨ Build vocabulary and communication skills
✨ Develop curiosity through hands-on experiences
✨ Practice problem-solving and creativity

Learning happens everywhere—even while making a refreshing drink outdoors! Thank you to all the children for their wonderful ideas and enthusiasm today.
