Hello club ;
Steve Lewis here club President .
As of this past Thursday Kevin Riede our trail Manager and Virginia Vyse our Treasurer have resigned their executive rolls in the club .
We will all miss everything they have done for the club since and before taking their official rolls . Kevin has put in countless hours planning , clearing , plotting And his own fuel and damage to vehicles ,to create Hundreds of km of ridable trail in just under a year Ginny has done the work designing our flyers , adds , events , sponsors , merch and swag collecting and putting together prizes and just everything . Hundreds of dollars in food for our events donated by kevin and Ginny they cooked the meals organized the events and allowed us to use their property .
All of what yous have done Kevin and Virginia is appreciated and will be missed by us all . Especially me .
Thank You both very much from myself and the club .

Things like this happen to clubs because of lack of involvement . From club members and the community , it makes it hard to bring these trails to you and events and dinners and bonfires , if only a few are willing to do the work . It takes hundreds of hours to plan a event and the club needs help ,as of now it is myself ,Alex Knight and Tanya Cutler i will be posting for an AGM meeting for the end of sept please keep an eye out for date time and location . Know What to Watch For
Not all plants on the trail are harmless.
Some can cause serious skin reactions—and others can damage our trail systems if spread.
👉 Know these common Ontario trail hazards:
🌿 Wild Parsnip
Can cause severe skin burns when exposed to sunlight
🌿 Giant Hogweed
Highly toxic—can lead to serious burns and blistering
🌿 Poison Ivy
Causes itchy rashes and irritation
🌿 Dog-Strangling Vine
Invasive plant that spreads quickly and chokes out native vegetation
👉 If you see them:
• Avoid contact
• Stay on the trail
• Don’t ride through dense patches
And don’t forget—
👉 Wash your machine after your ride to prevent spreading them to other trails
Because knowing what to look for…
helps protect both riders and trails.

Riding with friends can turn a great day on the trails into something unforgettable—but only when everyone rides smart.
Group rides come with added responsibility. Following a few simple protocols helps ensure everyone gets out—and back—safely.
👉 Key reminders for every group ride:
• Ride with headlights on for visibility
• No impairment—ever (alcohol, drugs, or fatigue)
• Ride for the person behind you—not just yourself
• Keep safe spacing—don’t crowd the rider ahead
• Don’t ride beyond your skill level
• Communicate clearly—hand signals matter
• Let your group know if you’re leaving the ride
