There’s a little hint of fall in the evening air, but personally, I’m still clinging tightly to summer! And really… what better way to hold onto those summer vibes than with an outdoor summer party, live music, dancing and good friends? ❤️

Well, thanks to our wonderful friends Lynn and Bob Pennie, CCC members and friends are invited to their beautiful home for an afternoon and evening of music, dancing and community fun featuring Fannie and the Boomers! 🎶

⏰ 2:00 PM until the band gets tired! 😉

Bring your hat, lawn chair, and your dancing shoes! 👒🪑💃

Feel free to bring along some potluck snacks and your favourite drinks if you wish. The event is FREE, although a “pass the hat” donation is warmly welcomed to help support our talented musicians. 🎶❤️

A huge thank you to Lynn and Bob for opening their home and helping us squeeze just a little more summer fun out of the season!

Thank you to everyone that made our 2025-2026 year at CCC amazing!!!! Tonight’s coffee house with a rainbow was the icing on the cake 💕

While our volunteers take a summer break you may notice the page a little more quiet for the months of July and August - with upcoming fall event details occasionally popping up in the coming weeks. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer - happy gardening!

CCC Coffee Houses. Keeping the music alive

On Friday July 3rd. at 7:00pm Crossroads Community Club presents the music collective "Old Friends New Friends Bringing Back The Years." This will be a celebration of great tunes across many decades and of course a few laughs.

The collective is:

Kathie Nevillie: (Pembroke) Keyboards and Vocals. Retired Music Teacher . Played up and down the Valley and the Pontiac (starting at Fred's hotel) with the Jones Gang and many other bands from the 70's on.

Bernadette Kelly: Songwriter Guitar and Vocals Many years performing as a popular single act. Claims to be a true Valley girl. Has played as far away as British Columbia.

Grace Van Der Velde: Vocals, Keyboards and Shakers. Grace plays with several local musical ensembles; she also provides musical accompaniment in local houses of worship and leads a number of local Choral groups.

Roy Mullen: Percussion. Roy is a very seasoned drummer and percussionist who like Kathie has played with too many bands (up at Fed's too) in the area to mention. Now plays in sunny places during the winter months.

Also me on Bass and vocals... I've been around the block a bit too.

All the usual stuff.

Tip jars for Musicians and Deserts ( Any profits go to CCC Renovation Fund).

It’s hard to believe that our season is coming to an end! We’re excited to wrap things up with a bang and celebrate together at our final two events before the summer break.

🌭 Community BBQ Dinner

As a thank you to our amazing community and volunteers, we’re hosting a FREE BBQ dinner! Hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring a dish to share, invite a friend, and enjoy a great evening together.

Wow! You don't have to travel far to experience amazing local talent! 🎶😊

The wonderful May Davis from Micksburg kicked off last night's Coffee House, and what a fantastic way to start the evening!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, shared their talents, clapped along, sang along, and brought such great energy to the room. Nights like these are a wonderful reminder of how much talent and community spirit we have right here in our own backyard.

And here's a little bonus... I finally figured out how to upload some of the larger video files from my phone (the secret was apparently not using my phone 😂). So stay tuned as I share more performances and memorable moments from our Coffee Houses throughout the year!
