Clarenville Lions Club

Clarenville Lions Club Lions Clubs International is a secular service organization founded by Melvin Jones in 1917.

The Lions motto is “We Serve.” Local Lions Club programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, international relations, environmental issues, and many other programs. Much of the focus of Lions Clubs International work as a service club organization is to raise money for worthy causes. All funds raised by Lions Clubs from the general publi

c are used for charitable purposes, and administrative costs are kept strictly separate and paid for by members. Some of the money raised for a club’s charity account goes toward projects that benefit the local community of an individual club.

Thanks to all of our 2 and 4 legged friends who joined us on our Walk for Guide Dogs today at Elizabeth Swan Park.

Special thanks to our sponsor Pet Valu who provided goodie bags for all 4 legged participants.

The weather was warm and dry and we believe all had a good time. Some dogs and humans were shy and didn't want to get in the group picture, but we believe we have them in the other candid shots.

Its not too late to support our Clarenville Walk; just go to our Team page and enter your required information. More information about guide dogs is also available there.

Thank you in advance for your support of this and all of our projects.

🩸 Blood Donor Clinic – Thursday, June 11th 🩸

This coming Thursday, June 11th, there will be a blood donor clinic, and members of the Lions Club will be there to welcome and assist donors in the waiting area after their donation.

Every donation has the potential to make a difference in the lives of patients and families who rely on blood products every day. If you're able, please consider booking an appointment and giving the gift of life.
For more information about donating blood or to book an appointment, visit blood.ca

We look forward to seeing you there and thank you for supporting this important cause!

Today, June 7, 2026, Lions Club International is celebrating 109 Years of Service.

With pride in our hearts and service in our souls, we celebrate
a legacy built on compassion, commitment, and serving our communities and the world.

From Melvin Jones' vision we have become a global movement, a beacon of hope the world.

Together, we serve. Together, we lead. Together, we make a difference.

Where there's a need, there's a Lion.

At our last Club dinner meeting, we were honoured to have our District Governor Patrice King and her husband Lion Greg join us.

In her address she spoke of International and District Goals and happenings, and outlines many of the great things that our Club is doing for our Community. Retention & Recruitment were highlights from her words, and then through an informal discussion with the member present.

We also thank her for helping us welcome new members Lion Sylvia & Lion Rex who are shown here with their sponsors Lion Joanne & Lion Barbara and District Governor Patrice.

We look forward to having you help us serve our community.

If you've been wondering what being a Lion involves, reach out and we can show you the many ways in which we serve our community.
Find the Lion in you! 🦁
