Lions Clubs International is a secular service organization founded by Melvin Jones in 1917.

The Lions motto is “We Serve.” Local Lions Club programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, international relations, environmental issues, and many other programs. Much of the focus of Lions Clubs International work as a service club organization is to raise money for worthy causes. All funds raised by Lions Clubs from the general public are used for charitable purposes, and administrative costs are kept strictly separate and paid for by members. Some of the money raised for a club’s charity account goes toward projects that benefit the local community of an individual club.

🎉 CLARENVILLE LIONS ANNUAL SENIORS DINNER 🎉

📅 Tuesday, October 20th

One of our favourite events of the year is coming up! ❤️

This year, we have made a few changes to help avoid confusion and last-minute cancellations.

📞 HOW TO RESERVE YOUR SEAT

To reserve a seat, you MUST call Lion Joanne at 709-427-3659.

⚠️ There are a limited number of seats available, so please call early!

To attend, you must:
• Be 65 years of age or older
• Reside in the Clarenville area

🎟️ $5 DEPOSIT

Due to the large number of last-minute cancellations in previous years, there will be a $5 deposit required to reserve your seat.

Here’s how it will work:

1️⃣ Call Lion Joanne at 709-427-3659 to reserve your seat.
2️⃣ Once your reservation is confirmed, Joanne will give you a time to pick up your ticket and pay your $5 deposit.
3️⃣ Please keep your ticket! You MUST bring it with you on the night of the dinner to gain entry.
4️⃣ When you arrive and present your ticket, your $5 deposit will be returned to you.

We understand that this is a little different from previous years. However, this is a very large event, and we want to make sure that every available seat is filled and that no one misses out because of last-minute cancellations.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to seeing everyone at the dinner! 🦁❤️

🎒 Over 80 Bags Packed & Delivered! 🎒

Over 80 bags of school supplies were packed and delivered to students in the Clarenville school system who needed a little extra support.

Each bag was thoughtfully prepared based on the student’s grade level and the specific supplies requested by their school, helping ensure that every student received what they needed to start the school year ready to learn. ✏️📚

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated during our Pack the Van event! Your generosity is making a real difference for local children and families. ❤️

🦁We are proud to support and serve the people and communities within the Clarenville Lions Club’s area of service.
