Our hearts are heavy. This weekend, four Canadian soldiers lost their lives in the fire at CFB Wainwright: Sergeant Morgan Wong, Private Shaun Farrell, Private Aidan Goulding, and Private Hayden Lykkemark. Sgt. Wong served with the Loyal Edmonton Regiment, which has supported Valour Place for many years, and we’re standing beside the LER family as they grieve.

Many more soldiers are still in hospital, and their families are living through an unimaginable shock. Some of them are now staying at Valour Place while their loved ones receive treatment. We’re doing everything we can to give them a quiet, comfortable place to land, close to the people they love, for as long as they need it.

To every family grieving, every soldier still fighting, and every first responder who answered the call, we are holding you close. 💙

After about a month NOT being able to use this site I'm finally back on,,, The draw for the outstanding Quilt that has been donated by Wanda Adams Long to the GBM VCA Memorial will be drawn Sunday Oct 18th at 7pm by a live draw if all goes well. All 216 blocks were sold. Thanks to everyone for contributing.

Thanks to Dave Adams and is organizers for the Coffee House that was held at the GBM CCH on Sept 2nd 2026 that raised some much needed funds towards the GBM VCA initiative.

The performers that sang, played and told a scattered joke YOU are ALL to be commended for your volunteerism "Will done"

Thanks to all the people that brought along some treats for what Bruce would call the "Bed Lunch"
